Ll <br />1 <br />MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />March 16, 1981 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:05 p.m. by the <br />Chairman, Mrs. Wheaton, with members Nichols, Sandy, Smith, Sorensen, Planning Director <br />Bowyer, Assistant Director Asen, and secretary Mrs. Salto present. <br />43. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes of the meeting of March 7, 1981, were corrected and upon a motion <br />by Mr. Sandy, seconded by Mrs. Smith, were approved unanimously as corrected. <br />SUBDIVISION OF LAND <br />44. Kitson Park, Off Concord Avenue: The Board deferred action of the execution of <br />the covenant. The sight easement needs to be modified so that a clear sight <br />line is maintained. Some type of bond is needed to hold the Town harmless if <br />a claim for damages were to arise in the taking and acceptance of the right-of- <br />way as a public street. <br />45. Lincoln Hills Subdivision, Off Jean Road: The Board deferred signing of the <br />subdivision plan pending clarification of several issues: (a) whether the <br />sewer remains in private ownership, (b) the ownership of the turn -around, and <br />(c) what protection is needed against default by the developer. Mrs. Wheaton <br />will discuss this subdivision with the Town Counsel and the Town Engineer. <br />46. Corazzini Land Concord Avenue at Blossom Street: It was agreed that the public <br />hearing for this subdivision would be held on April 6. <br />ARTICLES FOR 1981 ANNUAL TOWN MEETING <br />47. Planning Board 1980.Report on Housing Policy: The Board reviewed a draft report, <br />prepared by Mrs. Wheaton, for the Planning Board's 1980 report on the Housing <br />Policy Resolution of 1979. Mr. Sandy proposed additional text describing the <br />Planning Board's review of his proposal for a limited number of two-, three-, <br />and four -family units of lower cost housing. It was agreed to include that <br />text in the report. On a motion by Mrs. Nichols, seconded by Mr. Sandy, it was <br />voted unanimously to accept the report as amended. <br />48. a. Planning Board Reports: The Board signed each of the reports to be submitted <br />to the Town Meeting. <br />b. Article 19, Open Space, RD Districts: In an informal poll, a majority of the <br />Board agreed to proceed with the article and to present it to the Town <br />Meeting. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 7:52 p.m.^_ b C, <br />c 18 L 1 S <br />Laura F.
