MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />January 5, 1981 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order <br />at 7:36 P.M. by the Chairman, Mrs. Wheaton, with members Nichols, <br />Sandy, Sorensen, Planning Director Bowyer and Assistant Planner <br />Asen present. Mr. Friedman was also at the meeting. <br />1. APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The minutes of the meeting of December 15, 1980, were corrected <br />and upon a motion by Mr. Sandy, seconded by Mrs. Nichols, were <br />approved as corrected by a vote of 4-0. Mr. Friedman abstained <br />from voting since he had not attended the December 15, 1980 <br />meeting. <br />The minutes of the meeting of December 22, 1980, were corrected <br />and upon a motion by Mr. Sorensen, seconded by Mr. Friedman, were <br />approved unanimously as corrected. <br />2. FAIR HOUSING PLANS <br />The Board reviewed the proposed "Fair Housing Plan" prepared by <br />the Fair Housing Committee. Mr. Sandy will represent the Planning <br />Board on the discussion of the plan at the Selectmen's meeting <br />tonight. <br />3. APPLICATION TO BOARD OF APPEALS <br />The Board reviewed a staff memorandum dated December 31, 1980, <br />and took action on the following cases: <br />10 Bartlett Avenue, Frederick and Mary Murphy, Variance, dimensional <br />controls <br />Mrs. Wheaton disqualified herself from this case because <br />of her personal friendship with the applicants and turned <br />over the chair to the Vice -Chairman, Mr. Sandy. Upon a <br />motion by Mr. Sorensen, seconded by Mr. Friedman, it was <br />voted 4-0 with Mrs. Wheaton abstaining to make no <br />recommendation. <br />Mrs. Wheaton resumed the chair. <br />1 Meriam Street, Grace Bellino, Special Permit, Restaurant <br />The Board agreed to make no recommendation. <br />Mr. Sandy excused himself at 8:15 P.M. to attend the Selectmen's <br />meeting on the proposed "Fair Housing Plan <br />18 Muzzey Street, John Boeing, Special Permit and Variance, apartment <br />in commercial building <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Friedman, seconded by Mrs. Nichols it'Was voted <br />3-1 with Mr. Friedman, Mrs. Nichols and Mrs. Wheaton in favor, <br />Mr. Sorensen in opposition and Mr. Sandy absent, to recommend <br />against granting the special permit and variance.
