PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />May 15, 1978 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:43 p.m. <br />by the chairman Mr. Zabin with members Sandy, Friedman, Wheaton, Nichols, <br />Planning Director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in atten- <br />dance was Louis Conrad, Lexington Minute -Man. <br />The Planning Board will hold regular meetings on each Monday in June. PL. BD. MTG <br />Summer meeting schedule will be considered at a later date. SCHEDULE <br />Richard Eaton's letter, received May 8, 1978, requesting Planning Board CONGREGATE <br />comment on zoning implications of "congregate living" was reviewed, and LIVING <br />discussed briefly. It was agreed that the concept would require thought- <br />ful consideration of its broad context, and will be referred to the <br />Housing Plan Committee, to be formed in the near future. <br />Board of Appeals notices for May 25 were reviewed. It was voted that B A 5/25 <br />a letter will be sent, stating no Planning Board objections to the HONEYWELL,INC. <br />petition of Honeywell Inc. for expansion of its Forbes Rd. facility. <br />Letters"from Edward Plugis (re Form A78-10) and Peter Farfaris (re FORM A78-10 <br />Form A78-11) expressing objections and requesting clarification of Plan- PLUGIS <br />ning Board addition on notations to plans, were noted. (see Minutes of <br />May 1, 1978). The notations stated that certain undersized lots on FORM A78-11 <br />Homestead St. are unbuildable. Mr. Zabin will draft responses for FARFARIS <br />consideration of the Board on May 22, 1978. <br />' Twenty-one interested citizens were present for discussion of definitive WILLOW RIDGE <br />plan for Willow Ridge subdivision. Neighborhood..objection..was expressed <br />to the opening from extended Barrett Rd. to Wellington La. Ave., as shown <br />on -the revised plan. It was suggested that the cut -through be maintained <br />with 8 ft. pavement, as a pedestrian path, and used as an emergency access <br />if necessary. Mr. Tuttle, developer, who was also in attendance, expressed <br />no objection to the walk-path/emergency access concept. Prior to the <br />June 12 public hearing on the revised plan, the Fire and Police Chiefs <br />will be asked for a statement as to the usefulness and adequacy of the <br />proposed emergency access. <br />Wm. J. Martin's May 9, 1978, memo, citing safety problem caused by erosion <br />of the sand hill at Woodpark Estates, and procedures for solution to the <br />problem were discussed. Modification of the Certificate of Action on <br />Woodpark Estates, as well as Board of Appeals action to allow removal of <br />the fill will be necessary before Mr. Lane can recontour within the sub- <br />division. He is to be informed that the Planning Board will recommend <br />to the B/A that excess fill resultant from the regrading not be sold but <br />be taken to the Sanitary Landfill. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m. <br />Iris G.
