n <br />1 <br />D <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />April 12, 1978 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:04 p.m. <br />by the chairman Mr. Zabin with members Sandy, Wheaton, Nichols, planning <br />director Briggs, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in attendance was <br />Louis Conrad, Lexington Minute -Man. <br />Article 36 (Bicycle Paths) was discussed and Mrs. Uhrig, Chairman of the ART.36 BIKE <br />Recreation Committee was present to inform the Board of amendment to the PATHS <br />motion on the Article to delete mention of federal funding. Application <br />for State funding, only, will be proposed, which requires majority vote <br />for passage of the Article, rather than 2/3 vote if federal funds are <br />sought. Article 36 will be reconsidered at the April 12 Town Meeting. <br />Julian Bussgang joined the meeting for discussion of further revisions ART. 61 <br />to Section 25 under Article 61. Dr. Bussgang had suggestions to amend SECTION 25 <br />regulations for boarders/roomers in subsection 25.9.1. His suggestions <br />will be considered at the time of future revisions to Sec. 25. <br />Theodore Freeman, developer of proposed'Ridge Estates II subdivision, <br />was present to ask clarification as to the effect of Planning Board dis- <br />approval of his preliminary standard subdivision plan on his PUD propo- <br />sal, as far as Board of Appeals and Conservation Commission are con- <br />cerned. Mr. Briggs will confer with Mr. Prentiss, Conservation Adminis- <br />trator, as to the basis of questions raised on procedures by the Con- <br />servation Commission. <br />RIDGE EST.II <br />Dr. Sandy's suggestion for regulation to control billboards in commer- BILLBOARDS <br />cial districts, as stated in his memo of April 3, 1978, was again dis- SEC. 25 <br />cussed. He and Dr. Friedman will confer and decide on procedures for <br />amendment to the motion on Article 61, so as to include reference to <br />billboards in Sec. 25. <br />Minutes of Planning Board meeting of February 21, 1978, were approved MINUTES 2/21 <br />as amended. <br />Petitions to the Board of Appeals (hearings on 4/27) by Lexington B A 4/27 <br />Gardens, Inc. for resumption of previous use of its Lowell St. facili- LEX.GARDENS <br />ty, and use variance sought by Dean Curtin at #271 Lincoln St., were CURTIN <br />reviewed.
