PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />March 22, 1978 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:07 p.m. <br />by the vice chairman Dr. Friedman with members Wheaton, Sandy, Nichols, <br />planning director Briggs and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Mr. Zabin joined <br />the meeting at 7:15 p.m. Also in attendance was Louis Conrad, Lexington <br />Minute -Man. <br />Report on Article 69 (Powder Horn Condominium proposal) as unanimously ARTICLE 69 <br />approved on March 20, 1978, was signed. <br />Fact sheet on Conservation Commission Land Acquisition articles was re- CONS. COMM. <br />viewed and method of preparation discussed. Mr. Briggs will re -compute ARTICLES <br />several figures which were questioned. <br />Request for extension of time for Planning Board action, to April 11, RIDGE EST. II <br />1978, on the conventional preliminary subdivision plan for Ridge Estates DENIAL OF <br />II, was noted. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was voted to EXTENSION <br />deny the request of Theodore L. Freeman, applicant. <br />Discussion continued on the location of Ridge Rd. as shown on the plan, <br />its non-conformance with legal layout, and inadequacy of Ridge Rd. to DISAPPROVED <br />accommodate increased traffic. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it <br />was VOTED unanimously: <br />To disapprove the plan entitled "Ridge Estates - II Lexington, Mass. <br />Preliminary Subdivision Plan", dated July 14, 1977, revised November 21, <br />1977, by Joseph W. Moore Co., Theodore L. Freeman, Trustee, Eliot J. <br />Frost, Trustee, Kerrie Realty Trust, applicant. <br />The reasons for disapproval are as follows: <br />1. Ridge Road is not of adequate grade and construction to carry the <br />traffic generated by the lots fronting on it. <br />2. The location of Ridge Road is not in conformity with its legal <br />layout. <br />The Board reviewed a plan submitted with Application Form A78-4 showing land <br />at Davis Rd. and Rockville Ave. Mr. Briggs reported that recording of FORM A78-4 <br />the lots had been documented by Paul Vears of the Engineering Dept. Upon DAVIS/ROCKVILLF <br />a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED unanimously: JOYCE <br />The plan submitted on March 13, 1978, with Application Form A78-4, by <br />John Joyce, showing Lots 1 and 2 at Davis Rd. and Rockville Ave., <br />entitled "Compiled Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated March 5, <br />1978, by Oiva Hintsa, requires no approval under the Subdivision <br />Control Law. <br />Plan submitted by the <br />Conservation <br />Commission with Application Form A78-5 <br />FORM A78-5 <br />showing land north of <br />Rte. 2 (gift <br />to the Town) was reviewed.
