1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />LEXINGTON PLANNING BOARD <br />February 13, 1978 <br />The meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was called to order at 7:43 p.m. <br />by the chairman Mr. Zabin with members Clarke, Friedman, Sandy, Wheaton, <br />planning director Briggs, and secretary Mrs. Snow present. Also in atten- <br />dance was Robert Bradley, D.A.C., and Laura Nichols, Lexington Minute -Man. <br />Mr. & Mrs. Aaronsen, Webster Rd. residents, abutting proposed condominium ART. 69 <br />development on Blossom St. (Art. 69 - rezoning to RD) was present to ex- <br />press opposition to the project and to seek information on impact to the <br />neighborhood, density proposed, water problems in the area. Mention was <br />made of proximity of Minute Man Village, multi -family development on <br />Concord Ave, to the proposed development and Mr. Zabin spoke of Planning <br />Board opposition to concentration of multi -family housing in any one area <br />of the Town. The Aaronsons requested notification of time and place of <br />public hearing on Article 69. <br />Attorney Stephen Russian and his client, Paul Castlemen, met with the <br />Board for discussion of amount of surety needed for construction at <br />Mountain Rd. Subdivision,approved in 1972. Engineering Dept. estimate <br />of $18,550, covering several items not listed in the Certificate of <br />Action, was noted. Mr. Castleman informed the Board of Shumacher & <br />Jennings estimate for $11,000, based on original Planning Board require- <br />ments in 1972. The Engineering Dept. will be informed of the Planning <br />Board's request to base an estimate on the 1972 requirements. <br />MOUNTAIN RD. <br />Request for extension on the preliminary plan for Ridge Estates II sub- RIDGE EST. II <br />division was noted. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was VOTED: EXTENSION <br />To extend to March 23, 1978, inclusive, the time on or before which <br />the Lexington Planning Board must act on the preliminary subdivision <br />plan entitled "Ridge Estates II, Lexington, Mass.", dated August 12, <br />1977, revised November 21, 1977, by Joseph W. Moore Co., as requested <br />by Theodore L. Freeman, applicant. <br />Minutes of Planning Board meetings of December 7 and 9, 1978 were MINUTES 12/7 <br />approved as presented. Minutes of December 19, 1977, were approved as 12/9 & 12/19 <br />corrected. <br />Article 66 (Special Permits), and Board of Appeals opposition as stated ART. 66 (SP) <br />by Ruth Morey, were discussed. It was suggested that a letter be sent <br />to the B/A, requesting suggestions for revision, and asking if renumber- <br />ing to separate "SP" from "SPS" would clarify and satisfy B/A objections. <br />Copy of Section 13, set up with proposed revisions, will be enclosed. <br />Revised Sections 1 and 25 (Article 61) were discussed briefly. Public <br />Hearing on Article 61 will be held on February 16, 1978. <br />The members were in general agreement to a suggestion by the chairman CBD QUESTION - <br />that a questionnaire regarding CBD revitalization be prepared and dis- NAIRE <br />tributed to Lexington residents. D.A.C. will be invited to participate <br />in drafting of the questionnaire. <br />
