1 <br />1 <br />LEXINGTON PLANNING BOARD <br />April 27, 1970 <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Board was held in its office on Monday, <br />April 27, 1970. Chairman Lund opened the meeting at 7:30 p.m. with members <br />Clarke, Graham, Worrell, Brown and Planning Director Zaleski present. <br />Robert Lyon, a local realtor, met with the Board at 7:30 p.m. to present ROBERT LYON <br />a proposal to discuss with property owners in the Center a plan for the PARKING AREA <br />development of a municipal parking area in the heart of the block between IN CENTER <br />Muzzey and Clarke Streets. He would attempt to arrange options for this, <br />and simultaneously options to expand the present lot between Muzzey and <br />Waltham Streets. <br />Mr. John Culp of Justin Gray Associates met with the Board to discuss the <br />development feasibility study in the Meagherville area and the possibility <br />of a technical assistance grant from funds provided under Title 9 of the <br />Demonstration Development Act of 1966 in the amount of $3,000. A letter <br />to the Department of Community affairs, requesting this assistance, was <br />reviewed and approved as amended. Also discussed was the possibility of <br />the Planning Board and Town Engineer participation in the work on the <br />study. Mr. Culp was asked to furnish the Board with a written form, <br />indicating the work and dates with a deadline in September. It was <br />suggested the Town Manager be asked to issue a letter authorizing Justin <br />Gray Associates to commence with a sum specified up to $10,000 and Mr. <br />Graham agreed to serve as coordinator for the Meagherville study. <br />Dr. Howard Smith met with the Board and asked for a consideration of <br />dividing his 2+ acres on Woodberry Rd. into two sizeable lots without the <br />construction of a new road under the Subdivision Control Law. The Board <br />felt it should consult with Town Counsel on this matter before giving <br />Dr. Smith an answer. <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board VOTED: <br />To extend to June 2, 1970, inclusive, the time withing which the <br />Planning Board must act on the definitive subdivision plan entitled <br />"Idylwilde Farm", dated December 29, 1969, as requested in writing <br />by the developer. <br />JOHN CULP <br />MEAGHERVILLE <br />STUDY <br />DR. OF <br />TIME <br />To extend to June 2, 1970, <br />inclusive, <br />the <br />time within <br />which the <br />FOR PL. <br />BD. <br />Planning Board must act on <br />the definitive <br />subdivision <br />pile entitled <br />ACTION - <br />"Drummer Boy", dated August <br />18, 1969, <br />as requested <br />in <br />writing by the <br />DRUMMER <br />BOY <br />developer. <br />Upon <br />a motion duly made and seconded, the <br />Board <br />VOTED: <br />EXT. OF <br />TIME <br />To extend to June 2, 1970, <br />inclusive, <br />the <br />time within <br />which the <br />FOR PL. <br />BD. <br />Planning Board must act on <br />the definitive <br />subdivision <br />plan entitled <br />ACTION - <br />"Village Circle", dated May <br />12, 1969, <br />as requested <br />in <br />writing by the <br />VILLAGE <br />CIR. <br />developer. <br />
