PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />March 2, 1970 <br />' The regular meeting of the Planning Board was called to order in its <br />office on March 2, 1970 at 7:30 p.m. by Chairman Lund with members <br />Clarke, Graham, Fowle, Worrell and Planning Director Zaleski present. <br />The minutes of the February 23, 1970 meeting were approved. MINUTES APPROVED <br />Mr. Temple Scanlon, Lexington Housing Authority, met with the Board T. SCANLON, LHA <br />to discuss the tax title land off Waltham Street between Vine Brook RE. WINTHROP RD. <br />and Winthrop Rd. The layout and area required for housing for the TAX TITLE LAND <br />elderly, accesses and the possibility of a recreation area were <br />discussed. The chairman suggested Mr. Scanlon give the Board a <br />statement on what the Lexington Housing Authority proposes to do, <br />their plans for use of the area for buildings, drives and accesses. <br />Mr. Scanlon suggested the town convey the entire parcel to the <br />Lexington Housing Authority. There was discussion of the Lexington <br />Housing Authority returning to the town any part not used for elderly <br />housing to be used as conservation or recreation area. <br />The letter to the Board of Selectmen with recommendations regarding DOWNING RD. <br />the laying out of Downing Rd. from Marrett Rd. to Outlook Dr. as a LAYOUT APPROVED <br />public way was approved and signed. <br />No action was taken on the reduction of bond on Militia Dr. since MILITIA DR. BOND <br />comments from the Town Engineer had not been received. REDUCTION POSTPD. <br />The memorandum regarding the Town Meeting Members Associations bus TMMA BUS TOUR <br />tour on March 3 was noted and the Board members plan to be on buses MARCH 3 <br />to speak on Planning Board article sites. <br />The Board briefly discussed <br />the possibility of purchasing <br />a vacant <br />VACANT LOT <br />lot adjacent to the Winthrop <br />Rd. tax title land. <br />Action on the Planning <br />Board's <br />report on Articles 91 <br />and 99 <br />was <br />PL.BD.
