PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />January 5, 1970 <br />' The Planning Boaid met for its regular meeting in its office on Monday, <br />January 5, 1970 at 7:30 p.m. Chairman Lund opened the meeting with <br />members Fowle, Clarke, Graham, Worrell and Planning Director Zaleski <br />present. <br />The first item reviewed was Section VIII of the Housing Program which <br />was amended by the Board. After some discussion, it was decided to <br />delete Appendices C and D and amend Appendix E to list respondents only. <br />The Board decided to have 500 copies of the amended Housing Program <br />printed for distribution to Town Meeting Members and the public at the <br />hearing scheduled for January 15. <br />HOUSING PROGRAM <br />AMENDED <br />The minutes of the December 15 meeting were approved as amended. MINUTES APPROVED <br />The planning director reported the town engineer's comments, relative GROVE SUBDIV. <br />to the releasing of bond on the Grove subdivision, had not been received ACTION POSTPONED <br />so action on this matter was postponed. <br />The draft of the Planning Board's Policy Statement on Conservation PL.BD.'S POLICY <br />Restrictions was reviewed and revised by the members of the Board. Upon STATEMENT ON <br />a motion duly made, seconded, the Board VOTED: CONSERVATION <br />To approve the Planning Board's Policy Statement as amended and <br />furnish a copy to the Lexington Minute -Man for publication. <br />Next, the Board reviewed and amended the draft of a news release con- SUBSIDIZED <br />cerning an information meeting on subsidized housing to be held by Town HOUSING NEWS <br />Meeting Members Association in the Science Lecture Hall at the Senior High RELEASE <br />School on January 15. <br />The correction of faulty work in the Colonial Acres III subdivision was <br />discussed and it was decided to discuss this matter with the Board of <br />Selectmen during the Board's meeting with the Selectmen on January 19. <br />The petition of Cabot, Cabot & Forbes for a Board of Appeals special <br />permit to operate a computer school in the Dual Occupancy Building on <br />Hartwell Ave. was discussed next. The jWlanning director was asked to <br />info mtn the Board of Appeals that the Board is not opposed to this <br />petition if ample parking is provided. <br />COLONIAL ACRES <br />III FAULTY WORK <br />B/A PETITION <br />C C & F - <br />COMPUTER SCHOOL <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board VOTED: RELEASE OF LOTS <br />To release all lots in the Heritage Acres subdivision from the HERITAGE ACRES <br />restrictions of the Covenant, satisfactory surety for the construc- <br />tion of ways and utilities having been furnished by the developer. <br />The release of instruments was executed by the Board. <br />The Citizen's Articles submitted for the 1970 Annual Town Meeting Warrant CITIZENS' ARTS. <br />were noted as follows: 1970 ATM <br />Idylwilde, rezone to RH <br />Stoico, rezone to RM - apartments <br />Citizens' Article, Carroll- rezone RM apartments <br />Citizens' Article, Hobbs Brook Park - rezone to CR <br />Niles, Concord Ave. between Waltham and Blossom St. rezone to RM apts. <br />Wetlands Conservancy District Article by Dr. Friedman and others <br />Permanent Building Committee Article by Lee Whitman and others. <br />Town of Lexington to sell portion of property next to 11 Mountain Rd. <br />
