PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />March 3, 1969 <br />The regular meeting of the Planning Board was held at 7:30 p.m. <br />March 3, 1969 in its office. The meeting was called to order <br />by Mr. Worrell. Other members present at this meeting were <br />Mrs. Riffin, Mr. Clarke and planning director Zaleski. Chair- <br />man Lund and vice-chairman Fowle joined the meeting at 7:50 p.m. <br />The minutes of the February 25 meeting were briefly reviewed <br />but approval was postponed. IJTNUTES <br />After a brief discussion on Article 107 (Spring St. -Hamilton), ARTICLES 98, <br />reports on Articles 98, 107, 106, which had been amended and 1062 107 <br />approved at the previous meeting, were signed by members of the <br />Board. <br />Reports on Town Meeting aritcles prepared or amended by members ARTICLES <br />were reviewed. After some discussion, a motion was made and 95,96 <br />seconded and it was voted to approve the combined report on <br />Articles 95 and 96. The report was signed by the members of <br />the Board. <br />Draft of the report on Article 101 was discussed. There was ARTICLE 101 <br />some discussion of income range for families occuping the MOD. -INCOME <br />apartment units. Mrs. Riffin revised the report, using figures ROUSING <br />from the President's Committee on Urban Housing (Kaiser Com- <br />mission) rather than the Commission on Civil Disorder (Kerner <br />Commission used in the original draft. <br />Chairman Lund arrived and Mr. Worrell turned the meeting over <br />to him. <br />After further discussion concerning the right-of-way and re- ARTICLE 101 <br />visions in the wording of the report on Article 101, the Board <br />approved the report as amended. <br />Report on Articles 99 and 100 (Nursing Homes), prepared by Mr. ARTICLES 99, <br />Clarke, was discussed and comments made regarding the continued <br />validity of previously issued special permits for existing 100 <br />homes. Chairman Lund suggested this article could be amended NURSING HOMES <br />on the floor at the Town Meeting. Mr. Clarke moved that this <br />report be approved as corrected and the motion was duly seconded <br />and voted. <br />Attorney Harold Stevens met with the Board to discuss Garden GARDEN CENTER <br />Centers. Mr. Stevens wished to know if the Board had made any <br />decision about the 5 acre limit. Mr. Lund spoke for the Board <br />and stated the Board feels there is a need for a better definition <br />of nurseries and would like to work with Mr. Stevens in drawing <br />up something that would be acceptable for the next Town Meeting. <br />
