PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />IJanuary 20, 1969 <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Lund at <br />7:30 p.m. with members Clarke, Fowle, Riffin and Worrell <br />and planning director Zaleski present. <br />The minutes of the Planning Board meeting of Janu- MINUTES <br />ary 13, 1969 and of the executive session on the same <br />date were approved with minor corrections. <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded, it was unani- CENTRE ESTATES <br />mously VOTED: (CAROL LANE) <br />The work in the Centre Estates (Carol La.) subdivision <br />having been partially completed to the satisfaction of the <br />town engineer, the obligations of the developer under the <br />terms of his Agreement with the Town and the $13,000 surety <br />furnished to ensure the performance of the required work <br />are herewith reduced from $13,000 to $1,000. The Town <br />Counsel is authorized and requested to withdraw and return <br />to the developer deposits in excess of $1,000 from the Lex- <br />ington Trust Co. Bank Book 033804, held by, the town. <br />The preliminary subdivision plan of Springdale Rd. sub- SPRINGDALE RD. <br />' division was reviewed by members of the Board and upon a <br />motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously VOTED: <br />to waive the cul-de-sac length requirements with re- <br />spect to the preliminary layout submitted. It was also <br />decided to request the developer to submit a plan showing <br />how the land could be subdivided in a conventional manner <br />with the same number of lots. <br />The zoning violation complaint againg Fitzgerald, 0430 0430 CONCORD AVE. <br />Concord Ave., was discussed next. It was felt that the Build- <br />ing Inspector's reply that he had informed Mr. Fitzgerald of <br />the violation and is awaiting Board of Appeals decision is <br />insufficient. Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was <br />VOTED: <br />to authorize the chairman to write a letter recommending <br />that the Building Inspector take further action in the matter <br />and require in writing that Mr. Fitzgerald stop operating an <br />automotive repair business, such requirement being in a form <br />suitable for being referred to at the Board of Appeals hearing. <br />The Board agreed to publish the letter from H. S. White and LETTER RE <br />Edward Green relative to the proposed moderate income housing, MODERATE INCOME <br />subject to Mr. White's agreement. Mr. White's proposal was then HOUSING <br />discussed briefly and it was decided to ask for a more definite <br />
