PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />iMay 209 1968 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was <br />held in its office, Town Office Building on Monday, May 20, <br />1968. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by the <br />chairman, Mrs. Riffin, with members Clarke, Worrell; and <br />Planning Director Zaleski present. <br />Minutes of the meeting of May 6 and May 13, 1968 were <br />discussed and approved as corrected. <br />Mr. Charles Gallagher, Planning Board's appointee to <br />the Recreation Committee, met with the Board. The Chairman <br />expressed the hope of the Planning Board that as their ap- <br />pointee Mr. Gallagher would keep in contact with the Board <br />and its staff especially as regards plans and developments. <br />Mr. Gallagher mentioned current problems, including a neigh- <br />borhood playground on the land of the Kennecott Copper at <br />the end of Munroe Road and the development of the Old <br />Reservoir for sweimming. Mrs. Riffin gave Mr. Gallagher a <br />copy of the 1966 Town -wide Recreation Plan, pointing out the <br />need for continuous updating. <br />' At 8:00 p.m. the public hearing on Woodbridge Estates <br />Section II subdivision was declared open. Twenty-three (23) <br />persons attended the hearing. Mr. J. A. Essarian, applicant, <br />explained the layout of the proposed subdivision. Letter <br />from the Board of Health approving the subdivision with a <br />specific permit requirement for Lot 1 was read. A letter from <br />the Town Engineer recommending several minor modifications was <br />read. Both letters were made a part of the record. Several <br />questions relative to the grading of the land and the con- <br />struction were asked by those attending and answered by Messrs. <br />Essarian and Hogan. The hearing was declared closed at 8:45 p.m. <br />Messrs. D. C. Lawson, J. Hatfield and H. Levingston <br />met with the Board next to discuss the payment for the sewer <br />in Emerson Road in the Grove subdivision. Replies to Mr. <br />Lawson's letters to the Planning Board and the Town Engineer <br />relative to this subject were read. It was agreed to inquire <br />of the Town Counsel, whether the developers of Emerson Road <br />approved in 1961 would be entitled to reimbursement for the <br />extra work in the subdivision incurred in 1962. <br />Mr. Fowle joined the meeting at 8:45 p.m. <br />The Board, voted unanimously to release all lots in the <br />Carol La. subdivision in $18,000 bond and executed the release <br />instrument. <br />MINUTES <br />GALLAGHER <br />WOODBRIDGE <br />ESTATES <br />GROVE <br />SUBDIVISION <br />CAROL LA. <br />
