PLANNING BOARD MEETING
' March 18, 1968
A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was
held in its office, Town Office Building, on Monday, March 18,
1968. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Mrs. Riffin
at 7:30 p.m. with members Clarke, Fowle, Lund and Worrell
present.
The Board approved letters to the Board of Appeals rela- BOARD OF
tive to the pending finding and determination on the proposed APPEALS -
Itek building at Hartwell Ave. and Maguire Rd. and the proposed Itek
office building on Lot 3 Militia Dr. in the Battle Green Office Militia Dr.
Park. Also approved was a letter to the Board of Appeals in
support of the latest Tillinghast plan for #465-475 Massachu- Tillinghast
setts Ave. involving only one additional 2 -family dwelling.
Upon a motion duly made and seconded the Board voted
unanimously to approve the definitive subdivision plan en-
MILITIA DR.
titled "Battle Green Office Park in Lexington, Mass.", dated
-
November 2, 1967 by Miller and Nylander, Civil Engineers and
BATTLE GREEN
Surveyors, to name the street shown on said plan Militia
OFFICE PARK
Drive and to accept a bond in the penal sum of $42,000 to
secure the construction of streets and utilities in said sub-
division.
The plans of streets proposed for acceptance in 1968
were reviewed next and the recommendations of the Planning
STREETS
Board relative thereto discussed. In view of the fact that
the proposal to lay out and accept these streets, especially
Hillcrest Ave., had not been referred to the Planning Board
as required by Geheral Laws, no action was taken.
The meeting adjourned at 8:00 p.m. so the members
TOWN MEETING
could attend the Annual Town Meeting.
Francis T.
