1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />January 22, 1968 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was <br />held in its office, Town Office Building, on Monday, January <br />22, 1968. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Mrs. <br />Riffin at 7:30 p.m. with members Fowle, Greeley, Lund and <br />Worrell, and Planning Director Zaleski present. <br />Minutes of the meeting of January 15, 1968 were MINUTES <br />approved as amended <br />Plans as submitted "th Forms A #68-3 and #68-4 as <br />follows, were reviewed by members of the Board and endorsed as FORMS A <br />not requiring approval under the Subdivision Control Law: <br />#68-3, submitted January 15, 1968 by George & Freda <br />Knox; plan entitled " A Subdivision of Land Court Case <br />No. 6962," dated January 8, 1968 by Miller & Nylander, <br />C.E.'s & Surveyors. <br />468-4, submitted January 19, 1968 by Richard S. Sparrow, <br />Otis D. Brown, Domenic J. Deflice, Arthur F. Douglass, <br />John D. Douglass by their attorney, Frederick J. Conroy; <br />plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated <br />Nov. 17, 1967 by Albert A. Miller -Wilbur C. Nylander, <br />C.E.'s & Surveyors. <br />The Board then voted unanimously to release all surety <br />on Circle Rd., all work having been completed to the satis- <br />faction of the Town Engineer. <br />Mr. and Mrs, Walsh, Mr. and Mrs. Kolb and Mr. Phelan <br />met with the Board next to discuss Denver St. It was the <br />contention of these owners that the Planning Board could rule <br />that Denver St. is a "way" without requiring any additional <br />construction, since the Town had installed sewer in Denver St. <br />Members of the Planning Board explained the relevant provisions <br />of the Subdivision Control Law, as they apply to "paper" streets <br />shown on plans recorded prior to the adoption of this law. The <br />Board then voted unanimously to recommend that a definitive plan <br />be submitted showing a cul-de-sac of the minimum size acceptable <br />to the Town Engineer and the Planning Director. <br />Knox <br />Battle Green <br />Office Park <br />CIRCLE RD. <br />GREEN VALLEY <br />SEC. VII, BUSA <br />DENVER ST. <br />Next the Board, in a joint meeting with the Capital <br />Expenditures Committee, met with Mr. J. Woglom of Metcalf & Eddy METCALF & EDDY <br />and Mr. F. Holland of State Division of Planning Memoranda 11701" <br />submitted by M & E as a part of their 701 Urban Planning Assist- <br />ance agreement were discussed, especially Memo 4413 (Long Range <br />Financial Analysis). It was decided that the Planning Board <br />shall proceed with all possible speed in reviewing the memo- <br />randa submitted and that M & E will try to have the summary <br />
