PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />May 159 1967 <br />A regular meeting eting of the Lexington Planning Board was <br />held on Monday, May 15, 1967 in its office, Town office <br />Building. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Greeley <br />at 7:30 p.m. with members Fowle, Riffin and Worrell, and Plan- <br />ning Director Zaleski present. <br />The Board then adjourned to the office of the Selectmen <br />to attend a public hearing on Emerson Rd. layout between Adams <br />St. and Castoldi subdivision. The Planning Board vas recorded <br />as being in favor of laying out this portion of Emerson Rd. <br />At 8:00 p.m. the Planning Board adjourned to Estabrook <br />Hall to hold a duly advertised public hearing on the Birch <br />Hill Estates definitive subdivision plan, submitted by Joseph <br />and Rosins. Buss. The chairman read the notice of public hear- <br />ing. Atty. Conroy described the proposed subdivision. The <br />chairman read Town Engineer's comments which were of technical <br />nature, and pertained to grading of the circle in the cul-de- <br />sac. Mr. Broderick asked about vehicular connection to Barry- <br />meade Dr. and was told by the chairman that there were none. <br />No one spoke in opposition and the chairman declared the hear- <br />ing closed at 8:15 p.m. <br />EMERSON RD. <br />HEARING <br />BIRCH HILL <br />ESTATES HEARING <br />BUSA <br />Resuming meeting in its office, the Board approved MINUTES <br />minutes of the meeting of May 8, 1967 as amended. <br />Proceeding to discussion of the Birch Hill subdivi- <br />sion, the Board decided to request the applicant to provide a <br />pedestrian easement to Barrymeade Dr. It was decided to in- <br />form the applicants that the Board is prepared to approve the <br />subdivision plan upon compliance with the recommendations of <br />the Town Engineer and execution of necessary instruments to <br />the satisfaction of the Town Counsel. <br />Mr. Robert Carrig met with the Board to recommend the <br />exemption from the small lot consolidation of any recorded <br />lot on a public or improved street. A discussion followed of <br />the different ways to modify the small lot consolidation <br />article. The consensus was to present the original article <br />and to mention the possibility of further liberalization of <br />the article by exempting single vacant lots, by exempting lots <br />of 100 or more feet frontage and 12,500 sq.ft. area and by giv- <br />ing greater latitude to Board of Appeals. <br />BIRCH HILL <br />ESTATES <br />BUSA <br />SMALL LOT <br />CONSOLIDATION <br />Tentative schedule of summer meetings was approved SUMMER SCHEDULE <br />(see Addendum). <br />Modifications of wording of articles for the June 12, TOWN MEETING <br />1967 town meeting by the Town Counsel were reviewed and ARTICLES <br />approved, including the variant 1. of the junked cars article. <br />
