PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />' <br />February 13, 1967 <br />A regular meeting of the Planning Board was held on <br />Monday, February 13, 1967 in its office, Town Office Build- <br />ing. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Greeley <br />at 7:30 p.m. with members Campbell, Fowle, Riffin and <br />Worrell, and Planning Director Zaleski present. <br />The minutes of meetings of January 23 and February 6, <br />MINUTES <br />1967 were approved as corrected. <br />The Board agreed to schedule the public hearing on the <br />elimination of T 1 districts for 8:00 p.m. March 4, 1967 in <br />the office of the Planning Board. <br />The letter to the Conservation Commission recommending <br />the acquisition of Longfellow Rd. extension and of Ashley <br />LONGFELLOW RD. <br />land (see minutes of Feb. 6, 1967) was approved by a majority <br />EXTENSION <br />vote with Mr. Campbell opposed, and signed by the Chairman. <br />The taking of Hamilton land at Worthen Rd. and Mass. <br />Ave. recommended by the chairman of the Conservation Com- <br />HAMILTON LAND <br />mission was discussed briefly. The Board decided to take no <br />' <br />action. <br />The question of Worthen Rd. connection to Rte. 2 was <br />WORTHEN RD. - <br />discussed next and the layout approved by a vote of 4 to 1, <br />RTE. 2 <br />Mr. Campbell dissenting. <br />The Board approved the letter to the Selectmen rela- <br />tive to the rezoning of Great Meadows to an Open Land District <br />GREAT MEADOWS <br />with the understanding that the rezoning is not supported or <br />advocated. <br />Articles for the June 5, 1967 Special Town Meeting were <br />discussed next and it was agreed as follows: <br />JUNE 5, 1967 <br />SPECIAL TOWN <br />1. The rezoning to CN of additional land at North Hancock St. is <br />MEETING <br />likely to be submitted as a citizen's petition by Mr. Napoli. <br />Napoli <br />2. The Board voted 3:2 to include an article permitting funeral <br />homes in R 1 subject to access and other restrictions. <br />Funeral Homes <br />3. The Board agreed to encourage Mr. Stephen Russian to obtain <br />options for interior land being sold to Town for parking as <br />Russian <br />a condition of rezoning to C 2. <br />4. The article on junkyards will be inserted in the warrant. <br />Junkyards <br />5. No articles will be introduced by the Board for rezoning to <br />CS Districts <br />CS districts. Petitions by individuals for rezoning to CS <br />will be encouraged. The possibility of reducing require- <br />ments in CS districts will be studied. <br />6. C 4 or other non -retail zoning for Stevens and K of C was <br />C 4 Zoning <br />proposed by Mr. Worrell and it was decided to study this <br />further. <br />
