PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />March 12, 1966 <br />A special meeting of the Lexington Planning Board <br />was held in its office, Town Office Building, on Saturday, <br />March 12, 1966. The meeting was called to order by Chair- <br />man Campbell at 9:30 a.m, with members Fowle, Greeley, <br />Riffin and Worrell, and Planning Director Zaleski present. <br />The Board welcomed new member Francis T. Worrell. <br />The Board reorganized, present officers being re- <br />elected by acclamation, as follows: ORGANIZATION OF <br />BOARD <br />Joseph A. Campbell, Chairman <br />Roland B. Greeley, Vice Chairman <br />Natalie H. Riffin, Clerk <br />Minutes of meetings of February 28 and March 7, MINUTES <br />1966 were approved. <br />EDA progress on Lexington Center plans was dis- <br />cussed. Mrs. Riffin reported that Philip Herr will meet <br />with the Planning Board at 9:30 on March 14, 1966. <br />EDA bill for $1,100 was discussed and a payment of EDA BILL <br />$700 authorized, retaining 10% of the contract price until <br />the contract is completed. <br />Notices of State hearings on zoning, etc. were read <br />and discussed. It was decided to write an article for <br />Lexington Minute -man in reply to the editorial of March 10, <br />1966. <br />Letter from Town Counsel re: endorsement of D. Cur- FORM A <br />tin's plan submitted with Form A #66-4 was read, and the <br />Board voted to endorse the plan as not requiring approval Curtin <br />under the Subdivision Control Law. <br />The Board next discussed reports on proposed REPORTS ON ARTICLES <br />zoning amendments. ANNUAL TOWN MEETING <br />Report on CM 1 regulations was read by Mr. Greeley, CM 1 <br />discussed and approved. <br />Mrs. Riffin read draft of report on Bd. of Appeals. Bd. of Appeals <br />It was discussed and approved. <br />Article 62 (Williams land rezoning) was discussed <br />at length. Messrs. Campbell and Greeley voted in favor Williams <br />of the rezoning, while members Fowle, Riffin and Worrell <br />opposed the rezoning, favoring Bd. of Appeals variance as <br />the best means of rectifying the situation.
