PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />' June 28, 1965 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board <br />was held on Monday, June 28, 1965 in its office, Town <br />Office Building. The meeting was called to order by Chair- <br />man Bryson at 7:30 p.m. with members Campbell, Powle and <br />Greeley, and Planning Director Zaleski present. <br />Minutes of meeting of June 14, 1965 were approved. <br />Upon a motion duly made and seconded it was unani- <br />mously voted to pay ASPO membership dues for the next year <br />commencing July 1, 1965 in the amount of $100. <br />It was voted to have a Planning Board meeting on <br />August 2 and not on August 9, 1965. <br />Plan submitted with the following Form A was re- <br />viewed and endorsed by members of the Board as not requir- <br />ing approval under the Subdivision Control Law: <br />#65-29, submitted June 28, 1965 by Walter E. and <br />Doris G. Sands by Harold E. Stevens, Atty.; plan <br />entitled "Plan of Land Lexington, Mass.", dated <br />May 29, 1965, E. Conrad Levy & Assoc., Surveyors <br />and Engineers, and showing lots 118 and 121 <br />Meriam St. <br />Mr. Donald Legro, Town Counsel, met with the Board <br />and submitted a draft of Agreement revised by him for EDA <br />planning consulting services for Central Business District. <br />The revisions were in details and in the manner of payments. <br />Mr. Legro left four copies of the draft with the Planning <br />Board. The draft, as revised, was approved by the Board <br />by a unanimous vote subject to acceptance by EDA. <br />MINUTES <br />BILL <br />MEETING <br />FORM A <br />1041aW_1100ZA <br />At 8:00 p.m. the Board met with Messrs. Hayes, Han- <br />son, Bond and Sparrow of the Recreation Committee and with RECREATION <br />Mr. Bertini, Recreation Director. A memo by the planning COMMITTEE <br />director regarding Lexington's recreational facilities was <br />distributed to members of both groups. <br />Mr. Hayes, chairman of the Recreation Committee, out- <br />lined some of the past efforts of the Recreation Committee, <br />particularly as regards the development of play area next <br />to Grove St. and Rte. 128. Next to Harrington Schdol and <br />extending to Woburn St. there will be a major playground in- <br />volving acquisition of land near Woburn Sto on which the <br />' Recreation Committee would appreciate the assistance of the <br />Planning Board (cost $248,000 more or less, not including <br />land acquisition).
