' PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />May 10, 1965 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was <br />held on Monday, May 10, 1965 in its office, Town Office Build- <br />ing. Keeting called to order by Chairman Bryson with members <br />Campbell, Fowle, Greeley, Riffin, and Planning; Director <br />Zaleski present. <br />At 7:45 p.m. Mr. Abend, traffic engineer engaged by the <br />Planning Board for the study of Emerson Rd., met with the <br />Board. The study of Emerson Rd. was discussed. Mr. Abend re- <br />ported some preliminary findings relative to traffic volumes. <br />clr. Boughton came in to discuss the date of meeting of <br />the Board with the Capital Expenditures Committee and Mr. Woglom <br />of P-letcalf & Eddy. Since Mr. Woglom will not be able to attend <br />a meeting on the 19th of May, it was tentatively decided to hold <br />the meeting on either May 20 or 25th. <br />D1 I • • . 1 <br />V11,0101 <br />CAPITAL EX- <br />PENDITURES <br />COMMITTEE <br />It was decided to devote June 14 meeting to a discus- <br />sion of zoning policies. <br />Mr. Bryson invited members of the Board to the meet- <br />ing with architects relative to the revitalization of C.B.D. <br />on May 125 1965 at 8:00 p.m. <br />Mir. John Carroll, Town Engineer, met with the Board <br />regarding the access to Moreland Ave. school site. Mr. Carroll <br />MORELAND AVE. <br />recommended street connection fro;n the east, not from Moreland <br />SCHOOL SITE <br />' <br />Ave. but from Philip Rd. because of very steep grades at More- <br />land Ave. The access road would not be constructed of paid for <br />by the School Dept. Supt. of Schools has no objection to the <br />Philip Rd. access but would also be satisfied with vehicular <br />access from Rockville Ave. with pedestrian access from Philip <br />Rd. The Board expressed itself in favor of Philip Rd. connec- <br />tion and in favor of selling for houses the remaining town land <br />west of Philip Rd. <br />Minutes of meeting of May 3, 1965 were approved. <br />MINUTES <br />The following Form A application was reviewed: <br />FORM A <br />#65-22, submitted May 6, 1965 by Mark Moore, Jr.; <br />plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington Mass.113 <br />dated April 295 1965, Miller & Nylander, C.E.'s & <br />Surveyors. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded it was unanimously voted <br />to endorse it as not requiring approval under the Subdivision <br />Control Law. <br />It was decided to devote June 14 meeting to a discus- <br />sion of zoning policies. <br />Mr. Bryson invited members of the Board to the meet- <br />ing with architects relative to the revitalization of C.B.D. <br />on May 125 1965 at 8:00 p.m. <br />
