i <br />1 <br />PLANNING BOARD MATING <br />March 29, 1965 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was <br />held on Monday, March 29, 1965, in its office, Town Office <br />Building. The meeting was called to order by Vice Chairman <br />Campbell at 7:30 p.m. with Members Fowle, Greeley, Riffin, <br />and Planning Director Zaleski and Planning Consultant H. S. <br />Brinkers of Metcalf & Eddy present. <br />Application for federal funds for long range planning <br />services, together with a letter of interest signed by Plan- METCALF & <br />ning Board Chairman Bryson, and an outline of services pre- EDDY <br />pared by the consultants Metcalf & Eddy were reviewed by the <br />Board. <br />Minutes of meeting of March 13, 1965 were approved. <br />Reviewed by the Planning Board was the following <br />Form A application for determination of Planning Board juris- <br />diction: <br />#65-11, submitted March 19, 1965 by Mark Moore, Jr.; <br />plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", <br />Scale: 1" = 401, dated March 19, 1965, Miller & <br />Nylander, C.E.'s & Surveyors. <br />Upon motion duly made and seconded it was unanimously <br />VOTED: that the Lexington Planning Board determines that the <br />plan accompanying Form A #65-11 does not require <br />approval under the Subdivision Control Law <br />and the plan was so endorsed. <br />Dr. Sloane, Mr. Pierce, A.I.A; Mr. Schmertzler and <br />Dr. Jick met with the Board and presented a sketch of Pea- <br />cock Farm subdivision and of adjacent lands showing alter- <br />nate possibilities of developing of such adjacentlands owned <br />by Green and White. Mr. Pierce also presented a letter from <br />Jules Sussman, Chairman of the Conservation Commission. Mr. <br />Pierce suggested that the land next to West farm be kept open <br />as a part of a future green strip connection to Massachusetts <br />Ave. Several slides of the area were shown. The number of <br />lots would be reduced from 31 to 24 by reserving the open <br />land. The Board took the matter under advisement. <br />MINUTES <br />FORM A <br />PEACOCK FARM <br />PROPOSAL <br />Next, Mr. Bigelow Moore met with the Board and dis- <br />played a map of the Brigham Rd. subdivision and presented JACKSON ESTATES - <br />some photographs of the flash flood. Mr. Moore contended BRIMM RD. <br />that the Brigham Rd. subdivision is subject to flooding and <br />may jeopardize adjacent properties. The matter was referred <br />to the Planning Director for review with the Town Engineer. <br />
