PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />' April 22, 1964 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was <br />held in its office, Town Office Building, on Wednesday, April <br />22, 1964. Chairman Meyer called the meeting to order at 8:10 <br />p.m. with members Greeley, Bryson and Riffin present, also <br />planning director Zaleski. <br />Messrs. DeNapoli and Purcell met with the Board regarding <br />plan of land owned by DeNapoli on Center Street in Lexington, FORM A <br />submitted with Form A #64-18 for endorsement as now requiring DeNAPOLI <br />approval under the subdivision control law. The question of <br />whether or not the plan constituted a subdivision was discussed <br />and it was agreed that the plan would qualify for endorsement <br />as not a subdivision provided a note were added thereon as <br />follows: "Lots 26, 27, 28, 29 are now held in common ownership <br />with the land registered as Land Court Case 8584-A.11 Upon <br />motion of A. Bryson, seconded by R. Greeley, it was unanimously <br />VOTED: that approval under the subdivision control law is <br />not required on the plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lex- <br />ington Mass.", dated April 3, 1964, by Jos. J. Sullivan, <br />Surveyor, submitted with Form A #64-18, since lots 26, <br />27, 28, 29 are now held in common ownership with adja- <br />cent land registered as Land Court Case #8584-A. <br />Mr. G.A.Carbone of 151 Edenfield Ave., Watertown, Mass. <br />met with the Board and presented a sketch showing a proposed REZONING <br />office building and parking area on lot at the northwesterly PROPOSAL <br />corner of Marrett Rd. and Lincoln St. Mr. Carbone requested _ <br />the Board of initiate the rezoning of this lot from R 1 to C 1 CARBONE <br />district. In the discussion which followed, Mr. Greeley and <br />Mr. Meyer expressed their view that this proposed rezoning of <br />land at a major intersection was not in the best interest of <br />the town and that it is the Board's policy to oppose office <br />buildings in such locations. Mr. Carbone was advised of other <br />ways of bringing a rezoning request betore a town meeting if <br />the Board were not in favor of initiating the rezoning. Mr. <br />Carbone requested to be informed of the Board's decision and <br />Chairman Meyer agreed to do so. Upon motion of Mr. Greeley, <br />seconded by Mr. Bryson, it was unanimously <br />VOTED: (by the members present) that the planning board is not <br />in favor of initiating a zoning amendment to rezone the <br />lot at the northwesterly corner of Marrett Rd. and <br />Lincoln St. from R 1 to C 1 district. <br />The minutes of planning board meeting of March 30, 1964 MINUTES <br />were read and approved as read. <br />The following Form A applications for determination of <br />
