1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />PLANNTNG BOARD HEARING <br />February 271 1962 <br />The Lexington Planning Board held a public <br />hearing on February 27, 1962 at 8:00 p.m. in <br />Estabrook Hall, Cary Memorial Building, on peti- <br />tion of more than 100 registered voters of the <br />town of Lexi^*ton to consider a proposal to amend <br />the Lexington Zoning By-law by changing certain <br />land from an R 1 - One family dwelling district <br />to a C 3 - Snecial commercial d�strict. Because <br />of a conflict in schedule in wh ch the Lexington <br />Field and Garden Club was holding a meeting at the <br />same time in the same hall, Mr. Soule read the <br />first paragraph of the notice of said public hear- <br />ing and then adjourned the hearing to Cary Hall. <br />Present were Chairman Soule, members Bryson and <br />Meyer. The number of persons attending the hear- <br />ing was estimated at apnroximately 100. <br />Chairman Soule continued the hearing by <br />reading the entire notice of the same as it had <br />been sent to all property owners deemed to be <br />affected and as it was published in the February <br />1 and 8, 1962 issues of the Lexington Minute -man. <br />A complete stenographic record of the hearing, <br />consisting of 70 pages, was taken and prepared <br />for the Planning Board by Barbara Ellen Bell, <br />Executive Secretary to Mr. C. T. Morris of Itek <br />Corpor--tion, and is incorporated in and made a <br />part of the minutes of this meeting and the per- <br />manent records of the Planning Board. <br />The hearing adjourned at 10:40 p.m. <br />Obert E.
