PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />I <br />March 31, 1958 <br />A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning <br />Board was held in the Town Engineer's Room, Town <br />Office Building, on Monday, March 31, 1958 at 7:35 <br />p.m. Present were Chairman Grindle, Members Abbott, <br />Burnell, Jaquith and Soule. Mr. Snow, Planning <br />Director, w as present until 7:55 p.m. <br />Approved was the following bill which had <br />been presented forpayment: Daley Office Supply, <br />Gowdy Kolated Sets --$9.50. <br />BILL <br />The Board next discussed the petitions to be <br />heard by the Board of Appeals on April 8, 1958. It <br />was decided to take no action on the petitions tobe <br />heard with the exception of the Corr petition to <br />The Board discussed the articles to be taken <br />up at the Adjourned Town Meeting, held a general dis- <br />cussion on the Loring Hill Estates, Section 2 defini- <br />tive plan, and the notices of petitions to be heard <br />by the Board of Appeals on April 8, 1958. <br />At 7:55 p.m. the Board adjourned its meeting <br />until after the dissolution of the Adjourned Town <br />Meeting in order that members of the Board might <br />attend said town meeting. <br />' <br />At 9:30 p.m. the Board returned to the Town <br />LORING <br />Engineer's room to continue the Planning Board <br />HILL <br />meeting.-- Discussed first was the definitive sub- <br />ESTATES <br />division plan of the second section of the Loring <br />SEC. 2 <br />Hill Estates development, said plan having been <br />previously disapproved by the Board. It was de- <br />cided to a sk Mr. Gayer, Superintendent of Public <br />Works, about the possibility of providing a level- <br />ing area at the end of Fair Oaks Drive where it <br />intersects Outlook Drive. It was thought that this <br />would be done by modifying the horizontal alignment <br />of Fair Oaks Drive reducing the area of proposed Lot <br />36 in such a manner as to increase substantially the <br />radius of the southeasterly corner of the Fair Oaks - <br />Outlook Drives intersection. It was decided also <br />that the Board would not approve the Loring Road pro- <br />file as it had been modified by Miller and Nylander, <br />said modified profile being at least twelve percent <br />grade. It was thought that a grade less steep could <br />be provided between Stations 0+50 and 2+50. Mr. <br />Grindle was asked to discuss this matter with Mr. <br />Gayer and Mr. Snow. <br />The Board next discussed the petitions to be <br />heard by the Board of Appeals on April 8, 1958.
