PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />I <br />March 26, 1958 <br />A special meeting of the Lexington Planning Board <br />was held in the Town Engineer's Room, Town Office Building, <br />on Wednesday, March 26, 1958 at 8s00 p.m. Present were <br />Chairman Grindle, Members Burnell and Soule, and Planning <br />Director Snow. <br />At 8sO5 p.m. the Board held a public hearing rela- <br />tive to the application of Frank DeFelice for approval of a <br />definitive subdivision plan entitled "Part of Liberty Heights <br />Lexington, Mass.", said subdivision including the construction <br />of Ann Street in a northerly direction from Taft Avenue for a <br />distance of 120 feet. Present were Mr. Frank DeFelice of 57 <br />Taft Avenue, Mr. and Mrs. Mario Gallini of 55 Taft Avenue, <br />and Mr. William H. Melody of 15 Holland Street. The Chairman <br />read the notice of the hearing as it was sent to all property <br />owners deemed to be affected and as it was published in the <br />March 6, 1958 issue of the Lexington Minute -man. The Chair- <br />man then explained the procedure in conducting the hearing <br />and called upon Mr. DeFelice to explain his plan. <br />It was stated that Mr. DeFelice owned a parcel of land <br />comprising three cngtiguous lost, Nos. 108, 109, and 124, <br />each 301 x 90' in size, the first two lots fronting on Taft <br />Avenue, and the third, Lot 124, fronting on Ann Street, a <br />so-called "paper" street. Mr. DeFelice said he wished to sub- <br />divide his property into two lots, one fronting on Taft Avenue <br />for 60 feet and having an area of 3840 sq. ft., the second <br />fronting on Ann Street for 56 feet and having 4260 sq. ft. It <br />was pointed out to Mr. DeFelice that while the Flaming Board <br />could approve the plan for constructing Ann Street, he would <br />still have to petition the Board of Appeals for a variance ta= <br />subdivide his property as set forth above. <br />Mr. and Mrs. Gallini wished to be assured that they <br />would not have to pay for any of the cost for constructing Ann <br />Street. Mr. DeFelice stated that he was paying all costs. Mr. <br />Melody asked if the temporary turnaround was to be constructed <br />entirely within the right of way. He was told by members of <br />the Board that this was so. Mrs. Gallini wished to know about <br />the proposed grades of Ann Street in relation to her driveway. <br />Members of the Board explained to her the relation between the <br />existing and proposed road grades.
