1 <br />PLkNd,-TNG BOARD MEETING <br />January 20, 1058 <br />A regular meetinc of the Lexington Planning Board <br />was held in the Town '_ingineer's Room, Town Office Build- <br />ing, on Monday, January 20, 1958 at 7:40 p.m. Present <br />were Chairman Grindle, Members Abbott, Burnell, Jaquith <br />and Soute, and Planning Director Snow. <br />There was held first a general discussion of cur- <br />rent problems before the Board includinc- the following <br />items: the Board's offer, for option purposes, of the <br />Town's purchase for recreation use of a parcel of Mr. <br />Mark Moo -e, J.r.'s land located adjacent to Vine Brook <br />and approximately between North and East Streets; <br />publicity in regard to the option obtained for the <br />Town's purchase of land fronting on North Street and <br />owned by Misses Robinson and rdillard; various matters <br />concerning Filene's -proposal for a regional shopping <br />center. <br />In regard to Filene's proposal, Mr. Jaquith showed REGIONAL <br />the Board prints of additional traffic data Mr. Gummere of SHOPPING <br />Filene's had Mr. Cox of '4FIlbur Smith & Associates pre- CATER <br />pare with respect to projected traffic flow in and out <br />of the proposed shopping center project. Mr. Snow was <br />asked to work with Messrs. Abbott and Burnell in inter- <br />preting said data for use by the Board.. Mr. Jaquith <br />said that he would draft into whatever form necessary <br />to conform to LexinMton's zoning by-law certain shop- <br />ping center zoning revisions suggested. by Filene's repre- <br />sentatives. <br />Considered next by the Board, and ap-proved by it, MT UTES <br />were the minutes of trie follow -n` Bard meetings: Decem- <br />ber 17, 2? anc 10, 10, ; January 6 and. 13, 195:. <br />The Board approved.:,ayment of the following bill: BILL <br />H.B.McArdle, diary --'„6.50. <br />The ?Board took under consideration the following FORMS A <br />applications for determination o£ Planning Board juris- <br />diction: <br />#58-21 submitted Januar- 81 1958 by David L. <br />Gennaro; plan entitled 'Plan of Land Lexinnton, <br />Mass.", dated Jan. 2, 1058, Frederick A.
