' PLANPiTNG BOARD ;K'I'TING January 13, 1958 A regular meeting of the Planning Board was held on Monday, January 13, 1958 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Engineer's Room, Town Office Building. Present were Chairman Grincle, Members Abbott, Burnell, Jaquith and Soule and Planning Director Snow. Approved by the Board were the following bills which had been submitted for navment: BILLS Graphic Reproductions, Inc., white prints -43:30: Spaulding -Moss Co., drawing supplies --2.75; V. Josenh Kostka, book "Neighborhood Planning" -'N-00. The Board approved the minutes of the Decem- MINUTES ber 9 and 16, 1957 and January 7, 1958 meetings. Taken under consideration was the following Form A application for determination of Planning Board jurisdiction: r #58-1, submitted on January 101 1958 by Arnold S. and Charlotte C. Wolf; plan en- ttled "Subdivision Plan of Land in Lex- ington, Mass.", Scale : 1" = 40?, dated December 30, 1957.1 Joseph Selwyn, C.E., Belmont, Mass. It was moved, seconded and unanimously VOTED: that the plan accompanying Form A applica- tion #58-i be signed bearing the endorse- ment "Lexington Planning Board anproval under the Subdivision Control Law not re- quired." The Board then gave further consideration to the matter of a referendum on the ballot for the Annual Town Meeting in order to obtain some indication of voters' opinions in regard to re- zoning land alone, Route 2 for regional shopping use. (See Minutes of January 71 1958). After some discussion it was decided that several ques- tions would tend to confuse voters and that there should be only one question, this having to do with. ' the desirability of locating a regional shopping center on the Swenson and related properties. Further consideration was also given to the REGIONAL SHOPPING CENTER PROPOSAL
