' PLANPiTNG BOARD ;K'I'TING <br />January 13, 1958 <br />A regular meeting of the Planning Board was <br />held on Monday, January 13, 1958 at 7:30 p.m. in <br />the Town Engineer's Room, Town Office Building. <br />Present were Chairman Grincle, Members Abbott, <br />Burnell, Jaquith and Soule and Planning Director <br />Snow. <br />Approved by the Board were the following <br />bills which had been submitted for navment: BILLS <br />Graphic Reproductions, Inc., white prints -43:30: <br />Spaulding -Moss Co., drawing supplies --2.75; V. <br />Josenh Kostka, book "Neighborhood Planning" -'N-00. <br />The Board approved the minutes of the Decem- MINUTES <br />ber 9 and 16, 1957 and January 7, 1958 meetings. <br />Taken under consideration was the following <br />Form A application for determination of Planning <br />Board jurisdiction: <br />r #58-1, submitted on January 101 1958 by <br />Arnold S. and Charlotte C. Wolf; plan en- <br />ttled "Subdivision Plan of Land in Lex- <br />ington, Mass.", Scale : 1" = 40?, dated <br />December 30, 1957.1 Joseph Selwyn, C.E., <br />Belmont, Mass. <br />It was moved, seconded and unanimously <br />VOTED: that the plan accompanying Form A applica- <br />tion #58-i be signed bearing the endorse- <br />ment "Lexington Planning Board anproval <br />under the Subdivision Control Law not re- <br />quired." <br />The Board then gave further consideration <br />to the matter of a referendum on the ballot for <br />the Annual Town Meeting in order to obtain some <br />indication of voters' opinions in regard to re- <br />zoning land alone, Route 2 for regional shopping <br />use. (See Minutes of January 71 1958). After <br />some discussion it was decided that several ques- <br />tions would tend to confuse voters and that there <br />should be only one question, this having to do with. <br />' the desirability of locating a regional shopping <br />center on the Swenson and related properties. <br />Further consideration was also given to the <br />REGIONAL <br />SHOPPING <br />CENTER <br />PROPOSAL <br />
