P7.A1GI E BOARD MERTIW <br />March 19, 1957 <br />A regular meeting of the Planping Board was held Tuesday <br />evening, March 19, 1957, in the Two Engineer's Room, Town Office <br />Building, at 7:30 p.m. Present were Oudrman Grindle, Vice Chair- <br />man Jaquith, Messrs. Adams, Burnell and Soule as well as Mr. Snow, <br />the Planning Director., <br />The Board took under consideration a proposal for a north- <br />MAJOR <br />east thoroughfare, having a 70 ft. right of way and connecting <br />STREET <br />North and East Lexington, this way being part of the Planning <br />PLAN <br />Staff's proposals for a major street plan for the town. In <br />particular the Board reviewed a tentative proposal for the <br />development of the Burnham land to include a section of the pro- <br />posed thoroughfare crossing the land of Burnham and connecting <br />East and North Streets. Included in this proposal Was the <br />Planning Director's recommendation for a parkway along the Vine <br />Brook easement from East to North Streets. The parkway was part <br />of the preliminary Park and Recreation plea for the town and in- <br />cluded the development of Vim Brook from Hayes Lane to the North <br />Street gravel pit. The Board accepted this proposal and decided <br />to present it to Mr. Mark Moore Jr.'who, it was understood, had a <br />sales agreement to purchase the Burpham land and proposed to <br />develop said laird for residential purposes. <br />Mr. Grindle left the meeting at 8:00 pan. at which time the <br />BILLS <br />Board approved the following bills presented for'payment: John C. <br />Lichtenberg, revising existing town-maps--$55.112; Louise M. <br />Baker, secretarial services period ending March 15,41957--$30.00. <br />Taken under consideration were the following Form A appli.- <br />FCW A <br />cations for determination of Planning Board jurisdictions <br />#57-27 - Submitted March 18, 19579 by Bernard-C.
