202 <br />� <br />C <br />Blackwell <br />Mr. John Blackwell and Mr. Brodhurst appeared with petition signed <br />by ten citizens for insertion in warrant for changes in M-1 zone (regulations <br />and additional land). Would like the Board to hold hearing on their own <br />initiative. The petition follows: <br />"To the Honorable Board of Selectmen:. <br />We, the undersigned registered voters of the Town of Lexington, re- <br />spectfully request that the following articles be inserted in the warrant for <br />the nineteen fifty-four Annual Town Meeting: <br />ARTICLE - To see if the Town will vote to amend its Zoning'By-law by striking <br />out Sub -paragraph 1 of Paragraph (f) of Section 4 -thereof, as amended, sub- <br />stituting therefor the following Sub -paragraph 1,� and by inserting additional <br />new Sub -paragraphs 3 and 4. as follows, so that said Paragraph (f) thus <br />amended shall read in its entirety: <br />(f) M 1 - Light manufacturing districts <br />1. A district 1,800 feet wide on the .northeasterly side of the rail- <br />road right of way and extending from the northwesterly line of <br />the northern circtiaisferential highway to the southeasterly line <br />of Westview Street. <br />2.A. district 2,400 feet wide on the southwesterly side of the rail- <br />road right of way and extending from the northwesterly line of <br />the northern circumferential highway to the southerly line of <br />Westview Street and the Lexington -Bedford town. line. <br />3. A district bounded northeasterly by Bedford Street between West- <br />view Street and Hinchey Road, southeasterly by Hinchey Road, <br />southwesterly by a line 1,800 feet northeasterly from and <br />parallel to the northeasterly side -line of the railroad right <br />of way; and northwesterly by the southeasterly line of Westview <br />Street. <br />4* A district bounded northwesterly by the northwesterly line of <br />the Northeastern Gas Transmission Company pipeline right of way, <br />northeasterly by the southwesterly line of Bedford Street, and <br />southwesterly by a line 1,800 feet northeasterly frpm and <br />parallel to the northeasterly side -line of the railroad right <br />of way, <br />or act in any other manner in relation thereto. <br />ARTICLE - To see if the Town will vote to amend its Zoning By-law by strik- <br />ing out Sub -paragraph 2 of Paragraph (f) of Section 5 thereof and by sub_ <br />stituting therefor the following expanded Sub -paragraph 2 as follows: <br />2. a. Storage and distribution of liquid fuels and lubricants <br />from tanks resting on the ground if earth diked or other- <br />wise compartmented and if spaced and otherwise safeguarded. <br />
