PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />Monday, June 8, 1953 <br />Present: Adams, Grindle, Hathaway, Irwin, Potter, Ripley. <br />Meeting opened at 7:45 o'clock. <br />Hearing - Ampolo <br />Public hearing was held on application of Rose Ampolo of 12 Jones <br />ave., Chelsea, to subdivide a parcel of land adjacent to 185 Burlingtdn <br />st. and to lay out a street approximately 725 feet long running from Bur- <br />lington st. Mr. Ampolo presented plans for the petitioner. Stix citizens <br />were present. A few questions were asked but there were no objections. <br />Plans were approved subject to approval by Town Engineer and Board of <br />Health. <br />Letter read from Harriet Trenholm of 222 Marrett street suggesting <br />the Planning Board consider c ng ;Tr property from residential to <br />.industrial zone inasmuch as the nearness of the airport has ruined it for <br />residential purposes. <br />Letter read from Vine Valley Realty Carp. of 145 Hanover St., Boa - <br />ton,, requesting date for hearing on plans which have been tentatively <br />approved for continuation of ('want street. Date for hearing set for Mon- <br />day, June 29 at 8 o'clock. <br />Letter read from Mrs. Helen Sarano of 315 Lincoln street request- <br />ing information on area deemed itfectedrequest-for change of zone <br />from R-1 to C-1 on Barrymeade Farm, corner of Marrett road and Lincoln st. <br />Area set at 1000 feet radius frcm intersection of Marrett road and Lincoln <br />street. <br />Letter read from Board of Health suggesting that development of <br />Lincoln Terrace off Lincoln street, wait until connection with the sewer <br />can be made. <br />Hearing - Universal Development Corp. <br />Public hearing was held on application for approval as a subdivi- <br />sion the property of Universal Development Corporation and located as <br />follows: off Adams street beginning about 2701 southwest of North street, <br />thence running northerly, westerly and southerly a distance of about 1270' <br />to Adams street. Mr. Nylander and Mr. Platin appeared for petitioner. <br />Six citizens were present. Mrs. Lidberg asked if the drain now in exist- <br />ence would continue to drain the back land and was informed it would. <br />There were no objections. The plans were approved subject to approval by <br />' <br />Town Engineer and Board of Health. - - - <br />
