t <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />Monday, May 11, 1953 <br />Present: Adams, Hathaway, Grindle, Irwin, Potter, Ripley. <br />Meeting opened at 7:45 o'clock. <br />Bill <br />Bill presented by Adams Press, advertising hearing May 7 and 14, <br />Peacock Farm, $7.50. Unanimously voted the bill be paid. <br />Cary EstAte <br />Mr. Spinelli and Mr. Tropeano appeared with plan of Cary Estate <br />by Miller & Nylander dated March 2, 1953, showing two possible entrances, <br />one on Spring street and one on Marrett road, to supplement that on Cary <br />avenue since it has been requested that there be' -two entrances. Wished to <br />know which the Board would prefer. After consulting with Mr. Burns it <br />was the sense of the meeting that the one on Marrett road would be pre- <br />ferable. Mr. Hathaway wished to be recorded as not expressing an opinion. <br />Mrs. DeSaulniers <br />Mrs. Alice DeSaulniers of 139 Myrtle St., Waltham wished informa- <br />tion as to how to go about changing from residential to business, property <br />owned by her mother, Mrs. Rheault, at 801 Mass. Ave. This property was <br />for many years in the business zone but had been changed to residential in <br />the general revision of by-laws since it was not at that time being used <br />for business. The regular procedure for changing zone was explained and <br />she was given the proper forms to fill out. <br />Mr. Burns <br />Mr. Burns reported he would have plan of new road coming out at <br />Lincoln st. and Mass. avenue in a day or two. Reported Carrig's Minute <br />Man development progressing, Universal and Palermo not heard from; Mc- <br />Conchie having trouble with drainage; and Hatch road running into diffi- <br />culties. <br />Mr. Stevens <br />M r. Stevens reported that altho Belmont voted a parking lot dis- <br />trict it has not been approved by the Attorney General so far. Brookline <br />has an "accessory parking" district. Submitted a plan of Belmont Zoning <br />By-laws. <br />Robinson Hill <br />Mr'. Newgent appeared to provide information as to ownership of the <br />land on his plans for tentative approval. He stated that papers had been <br />passed on his property on Robinson Hill and that he had an agreement with <br />Mr. Max Straw for portion on Cedar St., confirmed by Mr. Straw who was a190 <br />
