PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />' Monday, May 41 1953 <br />Present: Adams, Grindle, Hathaway, Irwin, Potter. <br />Meeting opened at 7;45 o'clock. <br />B� <br />Bill presented by Adams Press, publishing hearing May 7, 14, John <br />Baskin, $7.50. Unanimously voted the bill be paid. <br />Hearing- Westgate Builders <br />Public hearing was held at 8 o'clock on petition of Westgate Build- <br />ers, Inc. for approval as a subdivision land on north aide of No. Hancock <br />St. about 160' east of Bertwell road having one proposed street running <br />north of No. Hancock for a distance of approximately 7501. <br />Mr. Thcmpson of Everett Brooks' office appeared for petitioner. <br />Eleven citizens were present. Several -questions were asked pertaining to <br />drainage, type of houses, etc. There were no objections providing the <br />houses were in keeping with present neighborhood. Mr. Foskett and Mr. <br />Taisy both recorded as in favor. Moved by Mr. Potter, seconded by Mr. <br />Irwin that the plans be approved subject to approval by Mr. Burns and <br />Board of Health. So voted. <br />Ampolo <br />Mr. Ampolo presented profiles for his plan previously presented. <br />These seemed to be in order. Moved by Mr. Potter, seconded by Mr. Grindle <br />that the plans be tentatively approved. So voted. <br />Universal Development Corp. <br />Mr. Ducharme and Mr. Nylander appeared with plan of Millbrook sub- <br />division between Adams and North streets, formerly Herlihy land, plan of <br />Miller & Nylander dated May 4, 1953. It was voted to tentatively approve <br />these plans subject to approval by Mr..Burns and Board of Health. <br />Stevens <br />Plan of Walter Black's showing abandonment of end of Slocum road <br />was turned over to Mr. S erns._ who will look into the legality. <br />Mr. Stevens also to get a copy of Belmont Zoning Laws. <br />Mr. Adams stated that Kell C oration is coarsing before the Board <br />of Appeals with request to privately meter a parking lot, and wished to <br />know the status of this request. Mr. Stevens' opinion was that altho this <br />' <br />area is in C-2, this is not a permitted use and the Planning Board would <br />have a right to object. <br />With regard to problem of Mr. Wilson's backland on Cary Estate off <br />
