PLANNING BOARD M0TING <br />' Monday, April 6, 1953 <br />Present: Adams, Grindle, Hathaway, Irwin, Ripley <br />Meeting opened at 7:45 o'clock. <br />Letter read from Mr. Stevens re: Universal Bni inn Corporation <br />stating that he did not believe a subdivision could to turned down because <br />of only one 'exit on a narrow street providing the grade and sight are not <br />too extreme because an owner has a right to access to his property. <br />Letter read from Board of Health stating that they believed the <br />report from Whitman. & Howard to be adverse to cesspools and septic tanks in <br />Robinson Hills development and that they therefore recommended connection <br />tihe�sewer inasmuch as it was available. Moved by Mr. Hathaway, seconded <br />by Mr. Ripley that this report be accepted and that in accordance with the <br />principle that sewer connection be required in all developments where sewer <br />is available, Robinson Hills development be required to connect Oith the <br />sewer and that Mr. Newgent be so advised. <br />Universal Building Corp. <br />Two representatives from Universal Building Corp. together with Mr. <br />Beauvais, Mr. Ferguson and Mr. Jaquith, interested citizens, appeared for <br />Mr. Stevens' answer re: traffic hazard on Burlington St. Letter from Mr. <br />Stevens mentioned above was read. <br />Palermo <br />Mr. Palermo appeared for decision on his plans submitted for tenta- <br />tive approval for subdivision on Craig land on East street. The Board's <br />recommendation is that since this street will eventually be a. through street <br />the S curve be removed or modified. <br />Robinson Hills <br />Mr. Harvey Newgent appeared for answer to his Robinson Hills develop- <br />ment. Letter from Board of Health mentioned above was read and the Board's <br />decision given. Mr. Newgent was very much incensed and alleged that "&*, <br />McQuillan told me he could not give an honest answer because he was in the <br />middle between Mr. Burns and the Planning Board" - also: "It's a case of <br />dirty rotten politics." <br />Colonial Development <br />Plans were presented by Mr. Robinson for signature by the Board. Wes <br />informed they would be signed as soon as the bond was satisfactorily cwapleted.. <br />New Roads <br />Mr. Adams reported that Mr. Greer had agreed to give rights of way <br />
