PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />Tuesday, February 24, 1953 <br />Present: Adams, Hathaway, Irwin, Potter, Ripley. <br />Meeting opened at 7:50 o1clock. <br />Bills <br />Bills presented as follows: Adams Press, publishing hearings Feb. 26, <br />Mar. 5, Abbott, 2itso, Andrews, Rafferty, Ross, 3 M-1: $55.02. Louise M. Baker, <br />secretarial service 1/25 (annual report) 2/2_9-11-24, $25.00, supplies (envelopes <br />and special postage) 117.47, total $32.47. Unanimously voted the bills be paid. <br />Site & Shelter <br />Mrs. Fletcher appeared for approval of plans for extension of Barberry <br />Road and construction of Stonewall Road. Plans were tentatively approved and <br />date for hearing set for Thursday, March 12, 8 o'clock. <br />Methodist Church <br />Mr. Feckham, Mr. Greenlaw, Mr. Stanley, and Mr. Jenkins appeared with <br />plan showing land purchased for Site of Methodist Church on Williams road which <br />they wished approval. Were informed that the Board was interested only in what <br />roads might be built and at present their plans had not been developed far enough. <br />Board of Health <br />Mr. McQuillan, Dr. Cosgrove and Mr. Jackson of the Board of Health alth met <br />to confer with the Planning Board with regard to definite stands to be taken on <br />sewer connections and other pertinent data in new developments. It was the <br />opinion of both Boards that if a sewer were at all available the developer must <br />connect with it at his own expense. It was also felt that the Board of Health <br />should hire an expert engineer to decide all engineering problems before work is <br />done on developments, and that the sum of ;$5000 should be requested for this pur- <br />pose at the Town Meeting. <br />Lexington Estates Trust <br />Mr.H.K.Robinson of 84 Cary Avenue appeared for tentative approval of ex- <br />tension of Dane and Foster Roads which had previously been asked by Mr. Ryder. <br />This plan was taken under advisement. <br />Universal Building Corp. <br />Mr. Burns showed plan for suggested change in entrance road of Universal <br />Building Corp. which would make a better approach from a traffic angle and would <br />do away with the elevated road. This suggestion is to be made to Mr. Ducharme, <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:45 o'clock until Monday, March 2. <br />o <br />D. D. Hathaway., <br />Clerk <br />lmb <br />Oa <br />
