PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />Monday, February 9, 1953 <br />Present: Adams., Hathaway, Irwin, Potter, Ripley. <br />Meeting opened at 7:45 o'clock. <br />Hearing - Ridge Construction Co. <br />Public hearing was held in the Engineers Rocas at 8 o'clock on applica- <br />tion for approval as a subdivision the property of Ridge Construction Co. <br />according to plan by Everett M. Brooks dated October 8, 1952 located as follows: <br />on the northerly side of the Cambridge -Concord Highway and easterly of Water- <br />town street a distance of approximately 500 ft., thence running northerly a dis- <br />tance of 200 ft. more or less, thence running easterly a distance of 400 ft. <br />more or less. Present for the petitioners were Mr. Thompson for Everett M. <br />Brooks,C.E.; Mr. Bertagna, Mr. Geroni, Mr. Zintz. Also present were Mrs. Garoyan' <br />and Miss Garoyan of Hillcrest Village; Mr. Ferarra; Mr. Compton; and Mr. Dunn of <br />the Arlington Planning Board. There were no objections. Moved by Mr. Potter, <br />seconded by Mr. Irwin that the plans be approved subject to final approval by <br />Mr. Burns and Board of Health and provided they agree to have no entrances from <br />amy of their lots on the Concord Turnpike and to so convey the property in <br />accordance with that agreement recorded in the deed. Unanimously voted. <br />Janusus <br />' Preliminary plans presented for tentative approval for Stanley Janusus <br />on Veteran's Lot 15, Hill street. Mr. Potter moved, Mr. Hathaway seconded the <br />plan be approved. So voted. <br />Mr. Stevens appeared and stated he was inserting an article in the <br />Warrant further defining "frontage streets" so there may be no misunderstanding. <br />He also stated he was inserting an article.under Article 42 to continue to <br />authorize the Planning Board to obtain options on land for new streets and to <br />appropriate money therefor. Mr. Potter mored, Mr. Ripley seconded that this <br />article be approved by the Board. So voted. <br />McConchie <br />Mr. Nylander appeared for Leeland McConchie with plans for subdivision on I <br />Burlington street by Miller & Nylander, dated Feb. 7, 1953, for tentative approval. <br />Plans taken under advisement. <br />It was decided to drop the request for change of zoning on area between <br />Waltham and Muzzey streets and concentrate on Edison Way for the time being. <br />Date for public hearings set for Thursday, March 5th, Cary Hall, on the <br />following: Andrews, Zitso, Abbott, Rafferty & Farley, Ross, and M-1. <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:45 o'clock. <br />U <br />Qlmb D.
