1 <br />L <br />C <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />Monday, August 11, 1.952 <br />Present: Adams, Hathaway, Irwin, Johnson, Ripley - Burns. <br />Meeting opened at 7-. 5 p.m. <br />Bills <br />Adams Press, advertising two hearings, Carrig, 7/31-8/7, $7.52 <br />Voted the bill be paid. <br />Newgent <br />Mr, Harvey Newgent brought in a new idea in development planning <br />on which he wished the Boards opinion. Plan taken under advisement. <br />Hearing - Carrig <br />A public hearing was held on application of James3k. Carrig for <br />approval as a subdivision property known as Minute Man Highlands., ,Section <br />3, bounded on south by Concord avenue, northwest by Pleasant street. <br />Appearing for the petition were James A. Carrig Sr., James A. Carris Jr. <br />and Mr. Joyce. Also appearing were Dr. and Mrs. Robert Schwab of 108. <br />Pleasant St. who wished to know how this would affect their water stpply, <br />and also about the drainage. Were shown the plans for drainage, which <br />were satisfactory, and informed the water supply would be ample as soon <br />as it could be properly extended which was being done as quickly as pos- <br />sible. <br />Dr. Schwab suggested that some sort of traffic light be installed <br />at the corner of Turnpike and Pleasant street. <br />No objections - and plans were taken under advisement. <br />Hearing - Carrig <br />A public hearing was held on application of James A. Carrig for <br />approval as a subdivision property known as Minute Man Highlands, Section <br />2, bounded on north by Concord avenue and west by Walnut street. Mr. <br />James Carrig Sr., Mr. James Carrig Jr. and Mr. Nylander appeared for the <br />petition. 'there were no objections and plans were taken under advisement. <br />Carrig <br />Letter received from Daniel A. Lynch enclosing petition with 213 <br />signatures of registered voters requesting amendment to the zoning by-law <br />so as to change from an R-1 District to a C-1 District the area at the <br />corner of Watertown street and Concord Tdrnpike. A request was made for <br />a public hearing as soon as possible. Date for this hearing set for Mon. <br />day, September 15. <br />Currier <br />Mr. Adams stated that the Board of Selectmen would like the approv- <br />al of the Planning Board to take to court the State's decision re the Cur. <br />
