PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />Monday, April 28, 1952 <br />Present: Adams, Hathaway, Irwin, Johnson, Potter, Ripley. <br />Meeting opened at 7:45 p.m. <br />Bills <br />Bills were presented as follows: Rita McNamara, typing agreements., <br />X12.00; Adams Press, advertising two hearings, $6.26; Louise M. Baker, <br />secretarial service April, $1.5.00. Unanimously voted the bills be paid. <br />In view of the increased amount of business now coning before the <br />Planning Board it was decided to hold subdivision hearings on -Monday even, <br />ings as usual and regular Planidng Board meetings on alternate Tuesday <br />evenings. <br />Mr. Adams announced that enough bids had been received to take care <br />of the emergency housing situation for the present, and that the building <br />would not take place in Lexington but in neighboring towns. <br />Hearing - Carrig <br />Public hearing was held on petition of Jams A. Carrig for approval <br />as a subdivision property known as Minute Man Golf Course located on <br />southerly side of Cambridge -Concord highway. About 20 citizens appeared. <br />Mr. Fletcher of Moon Hill road spoke favoring more neighborhood planning, <br />with common play areas and plantings between the settlement and the4tigh- <br />way. Mr. Hugh Stebbins., -103 Pleasant Street; Mr. Richard Morehouse$ *&On <br />Hill road; Mrs. Thompson, Moon Hill road; and Mr. Fletcher Ashley, Moon <br />Hill road all agreed with Mr. Fletcher. Mr. Corazzini as an abettor <br />wished to know what type houses would be built and was told they would <br />consist of Cape Cod, Colonial, and ranch type, Mr. Donald Clarke asked <br />what assurance there would be that the buildings would be of this type and <br />Mr. Carrig stated that all house plans must have his personal approval be- <br />fore being built. Mr. Goldman of Pleasant street suggested that models <br />be built of future developments in order that citizens might visualize the <br />proposed development. <br />Plans were taken under advisement. <br />Hearing - Lexington onstruction Co. <br />Public hearing was held on petition of Mr. Harvey Newgent for <br />' approval to extend Patterson road northerly to a distance of approximately <br />600 feet. No objectors appeared and plans were taken under advisement. <br />
