' PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />Monday, August 13,1951 <br />Present: Adams, Caouette, Irwin, Ripley, Potter. <br />Meeting opened at 8515. <br />Eleven residents of Laconia Street representing Laconia St. Associates <br />with W. D. Ferretti, President, 52 Laconia St., as spokesman, informal3jV <br />discussed problem of abandonment of old end of Laconia Street and acceptance <br />of new layout. The old street has a five -point intersection and is a <br />definite traffic hazard. The residents would prefer acceptance of the new <br />layout. Were advised to forget abandonment of old street and petition the <br />Selectmen for acceptance of new layout to be presented at next Town Meeting. <br />qwmz <br />Fotobeam, Inc., Newtonville, 46 sq. ft. Unanimously voted these bills be paid. <br />Moneiunore <br />Mr. Adams reported that the Board of Appeals had turned down petition <br />of Mr. Monsignore to operate a store on Laconia Street but that he had con- <br />tinued to do so. Mr. Stevens now has the matter to handle as a violation of <br />the zoning by-laws. <br />Sand and Gravel <br />Mr. Adams reported that Simeone and Tarauei had been stopped by agree- <br />ment from removing sand and gravel. However, trucks were still seen coming <br />out of the area. Mr. Simeone has petitioned the Board of Appeals to level <br />his land. Moved by Mr. Caouette, seconded by Mr. Potter that the Planning <br />Board attend this meeting Thursday evening, Aug. 16, to object. <br />Zonine Mans <br />Mr. Burns, Town Engineer, has suggested that the zoning maps be put on <br />photostat. It was voted to give him the authority to do so. <br />Wood Street <br />The members of the Planning Board feel that they should know what the <br />effect of the government taking on Wood Street and vicinity will have on the <br />town in the way of entrances, exits, etc. It was decided to ask Mr. Burns to <br />contact one of the engineers for a meeting to be held jointly with the Board <br />of Selectmen in order to clarify this matter. <br />
