PLANNING BOARD FETING <br />Monday, May 21, 1951 <br />Presents Adams, Irwin, Johnson, Potter, Ripley. <br />Meeting opened"at 7s45 p.m. <br />Hearing - Site -& Shelter <br />A public hearing was held at 8 p.m. upon application for approval as <br />a subdivision of a portion of the property located on Concord Avenue owned by <br />Site & Shelter,Inc. known as Five Fields, together with the extension of <br />approximately 2000 lineal ft. of street according to plats and profiles sub- <br />mitted by Mr. Norman Fletcher of 36 Moon Hill Rd. In addition to the petitioner, <br />there appeared Mr. Lloyd LeBoeuf of 19 Oakland St. and Mr. and Mrs. Gough of 451 <br />Concord ave., all of whom were recorded as having no objections. Mr. Potter <br />moved and Por. Johnson seconded that the plans be accepted as submitted subject <br />to approval by Mr. Burns, Town Engineer. <br />Parking - Mr. Howland <br />Mr. Howland, representative of Minot, Williams & Bangs, appeared for <br />discussion re: parking problem in Center. He stated that the property in the <br />rear of their stores had been purchased with the idea that the major part would <br />' be used for parking, that they did not intend to erect any more buildings altho <br />some of the present buildings might be extended. Asked if a town street there <br />would help, he replied that it would in that it would help in providing light- <br />ing and patroling. On the other hand, more parking space would be provided if <br />there were no street. His Company would consider paving the area. <br />He stated that his Company had been delayed in taking any action until <br />the Town made a decision as to what they wanted and that they were willing to <br />go ahead as soon as that decision was reached. The Planning Board thanked Mr. <br />Howland for his views on the matter. <br />Mfr. Slocum <br />Mr.C.L.Slocum of 92 Blossom street appeared with preliminary plans for <br />subdivision on Allen street. Some changes were suggested on a proposed street <br />and he was given a copy of the Subdivision Rules and Regulations for further <br />study. <br />Bills <br />The following bills were submitted and upon motions duly made and <br />seconded all were unanimously voted to be paid: Rita McNamara, thing agreements, <br />$6.00; Spaulding -Moss, 6 copies 24 sq.ft.blue ozalids, pop.maps, 422.35; Spauld- <br />ing Moss, 2 copies 24 sq.ft.blue ozalids, pop.maps, $7.95. <br />Custom Built Home <br />Mr. Potter moved and Mr. Irwin seconded that the Planning Board approve <br />the work done under the agreement of Custom Built Homes dated Deo.7,1949, sub- <br />
