Minutes of the Lexington Planning Board <br />May 2, 1950 <br />Present; Potter, Johnson, Adams, Cromwell, Ripley, Caouette <br />and Burns, Town Engineer <br />On motion made by Fred Johnson and seconded by Mr. <br />Ripley, it was unanimously voted that the business dis- <br />tricts on the four corners of Lowell and North Streets, <br />the business district on the westerly side of Bedford <br />Street, across from the car barns, and the business dis- <br />trict on the easterly side of Bedford Street at the rail- <br />road, at the southerly junction of Marrett Road and <br />Lincoln Street, the business district on the northwest <br />corner of Marrett Road and Waltham Street, the business <br />district on the southerly side of Woburn Street from the <br />railraod, right of way to Cottage Street as described in <br />the 1946 revision of Zoning By -Law be placed back to <br />C.1 business districts in the 1950 Proposed Amendment. <br />On motion duly made by Alan Adams, the business <br />district on the southwest corner of Marrett Road and <br />Waltham Street, as defined in proposed 1950 amendment, <br />be changed so as to read the same as the district de- <br />fined in 1946 revision, with the exception that the <br />Zone as described in 1946 revision be enlarged to a <br />depth of 2001 throughout. There not being a seconder, the <br />' motion was lost. <br />On motion made by William Potter and seconded by W. <br />S. Caouette, it was voted to continue the Zone as prop- <br />osed in 1950 Amendment. In favor, Johnson, W. S. Caouette, <br />Ripley, potter, Cromwell. Adams, no. <br />On motion by Adams duly made and seconded by Potter, <br />It was voted to keep the Childs property, so-called, at <br />the junction of Watertown Street and Route 2 in a T.1 <br />zone as proposed in the 1950 amendment. It was unanimous- <br />ly voted. <br />On motion duly made by F. K. Johnson, and seoonded <br />by Mr. Ripley, it was voted the business area at the <br />Intersection of Lowell and Woburn Streets remain as des- <br />cribed in 1946 Zoning amendments. Unanimously voted. <br />On motion made by W. S. Caouette, and seconded by <br />Alan Adams, the business area on both sides of Marrett <br />Road at the intersection of Spring Street as proposed <br />by the 1950 By -Laws be increased as follows: on the <br />southerly side of Marrett Road to include Lot 235 and <br />on the northly side to include the entire lot of Dan. <br />Curtin. Unanimously voted. <br />Discussion of Zoning By -Law provisions. <br />Meeting adjourned at 10:50 P. <br />M. S . <br />Winfi d S. Caouette <br />Clerk <br />
