Minutes of the Lexington Planning Board <br />May 1, 1950 <br />Meetingcalled to order 7:45 P. M. <br />Present: Potter, Johnson, Cromwell, Ripley, Adams, <br />Caouet.te and Burns, Town Engineer <br />On motion made by Adams and Seconded by W. S. <br />Caouette, by unanimous vote, that minutes of hearings <br />be transcribed. <br />Mr. Joseph Silva and Son appeared at 8 P. M. for a <br />hearing according to notice duly advertised. No one <br />appeared against the proposal and moved that layout be <br />left with Town Engineer. Taken under advisement. <br />8:15 P. M. Puritan Homes regarding expediting contract <br />with Puritan Homes on account of F. H. A. increasing <br />cost of approval. Suggested reducing number of lots on <br />Puritan Road to 12 lots. Resultant Bond about $9,000. <br />Burns to work out contract specifications. <br />8:30 P. M. Hearing on Harvey Nugent subdivision. Duly <br />advertised. Chairman opened hearing. Mr. Nugent explained <br />what he intended to build and what he is to do to streets <br />under Board of Survey regulations. Several interested <br />residents on Wood Street area appeared and asked questions <br />relative to layout. Bob Johnson, 60 Wood St., questioned <br />attitude of Planning Board regarding type of house. Gail <br />Smith, Donald Lindsay, Kenneth Cassidy, Murray Roberts, <br />all of Wood Street, in opposition to type of house being <br />erected on the land. Lexington Construction Co., Inc., <br />formerly Harvey Nugent, taken under advisement. Plans <br />left with Town Engineer. <br />9:00 P. M. Hearing, duly advertised, John Craig advertise- <br />ment. Hearing closed. Taken under advisement. <br />Bill from Adams Press advertising Silva, Craig and <br />Nugent hearings, approved, :4.50. <br />9:15 P. M.
