Minutes of the Lexington Planning Board <br />April 3, 1950 <br />' Meeting called to order 7:45 P. M. <br />Present: Adams, Cromwell.. Ripley, Adams, Potter, Caouette <br />and Burns, Town Engineer <br />Informal group of citizens, appeared, to do with <br />recommendations for design to Town Buildings of Aesthetic <br />degree --historical aura of the town. Hunt Block, Hancock <br />School, Fiake School out of balance with Colonial tradition. <br />No thought given to continuity and design. Suggest that <br />article in the Warrant, for next Town Meeting, for Committee <br />to be appointed --Municipal and Mercantile buildings. Wellesley <br />has established a regulation to set up an Art Commission. Taken <br />under advisement. Frank Currier, W. H. Lyons, Aiden Ripley <br />spoke as a citizen. <br />8:10 Fred Joyce, Engineer --Harry Hull, appeared with <br />study plan of land for development off Lowell and Maple Streets. <br />Taken under advisement. <br />Bill of Foto Beam, Inc, $2.62, black line print, approved. <br />Mr. Joyce and Mr. Craig appeared relative to development <br />of land off East Street with plan. Planning Board made suggest- <br />ions as to changes showing street carried through to Burnham land. <br />New plan to be submitted, Monday, April 10th. <br />8:55 P. M. Mr. Umagetm., representing Everett M. Brooks, <br />Engineer, and Mr. Reinsterner appeared relative to proposed _ <br />development of former Ring property. Taken under advisement. <br />O:25 P. M. Mr. Nyla.nder, representing Harvey Nugent, <br />showing proposed layout of interior of development. Will <br />bring in final plans, Monday, April 10th, 1950. <br />Disbussion of further articles for newspaper. <br />Tentative Appointment made to meet with Real Estate group <br />of the Lexington Chamber of Commerce, Thursday, April 6th <br />at 8 P. M. at Esterbrook Hall. <br />Moved to have 500 reprints of Zoning By -Law for distribution <br />to Town Meeting members. <br />Meeting adjourned 10:30 P. M. <br />Winfie4 S.
