Minutes of the Lexington Planning Board <br />May 24, 1949 <br />Meeting called to order 7:50 P. M. <br />Present: Potter, Cromwell, Adams, Johnson, Ripley, Caao-atte, <br />Burns (Town Engineer) & Blackwell (Consultant) <br />7:50 P. M. William Hanna, petitioner, residing at 7 Cherry <br />Street, Lexington, now has option on property at 171-173 <br />Massachusetts Avenue, Lexington, presently zoned for two <br />family district, petitioned to change present zone to <br />zone for retail sale of gas, oil, tires, etc., designed <br />for neighborhood service (Esso). The Planning Board <br />explained the approach necessary for the petitioner. <br />Petitioner was informed that the Planning Board is <br />studying locus for possible recommendation to the Town <br />that it be zoned for business. <br />8:30 P. M. Mr. Joseph Silva --to present preliminary plat for <br />tentative approval of his land entitled: "Vaille Trust-- <br />' drawn June 1, 1904." Mr. Blackwell explained that Mr. <br />Silva had proper rights of way to Sunnyknoll Ave, and <br />submitted copy of letter from Richardson, Wolcott, Tyler <br />and Fassett to be retained in the Planning Board records. <br />The Planning Board recommended to the Petitioner that <br />he write a letter to the Planning Board outlining full <br />details. <br />9:01 P. M. Mr. Ernest Lindstrom, Building Inspector, on re- <br />quest by Town Counsel, appeared regarding permission for <br />the erection of a building to house chinchillas. Mr. <br />Adams moved that Mr. Lindstrom refer the Petitioner to <br />the Board of Health. Moved that the Clerk write to the <br />Town Counsel that in the opinion of the Planning Board, <br />sufficient provisions exist in the present By -Laws govern- <br />ing such instances, but if in his opinion this does not <br />cover the interests of the Town, the Planning Board would <br />request a formal suggestion. <br />9:25 P.
