Minutes of the Lexington Planning Board <br />' May 17, 1949 <br />Meeting called to order 7:40 P. M. <br />Present: Potter, Cromwell, Adams, Johnson, Ripley, Caouette, <br />Burns, Town Engineer & Blackwell, Consultant <br />Minutes of previous meeting read and approved. <br />Agreement signed by and between the Lexington Planning <br />Board and Ridge Construction Company in compliance with Art. 3, <br />Sect. 3 of Building Laws of the Town of Lexington together <br />with plan and profile of Golden Avenue, as approved by the <br />Planning Board. <br />8;10 Mr. Ernest Cutter, 127 Follen Road, Lexington appeared <br />before the Board regarding the Zoning of 577 Marrett Road, all <br />frontage on Marrett Road. 100 foot frontage on Marrett Road, <br />south of Mawhinney Garage. Informal discussion disclosed re- <br />quest by Mr. Cutter to have his entire parcel included in <br />proposed new business area. <br />Parking meter study <br />Voted: That the Selectmen be notified that the Planning <br />' Board approves the layout, dated January 25th, 1949, of Parking <br />meters submitted with the exception that the Board suggested <br />that temporarily only the posts be installed in front of the <br />Post Office and a test check be later made to determine whether <br />the need of meters is demonstrated by experience. <br />As a result of informal discussion as to the development of <br />a qday for parking agress from Massachusetts Avenue at the junction <br />of Edison 'day across the rear land of the business property front- <br />ing on Massachusetts Avenue to Depot Square; Voted: That a letter <br />be sent to the Board of Selectmen stating that the Planning Board <br />recommends to the Board that the Town take the necessary action <br />and request an appointment to discuss the points at issue. <br />Voted: That a letter be sent <br />questing an appointment to discuss <br />a parking area on the vacant land <br />the Town, adjoining the Library. <br />Meeting adjourned at 10 P.
