PLANNING BOARD IMTING ' January 11,1949 Present: Cromwell, Richards, Ripley, Adams, Burns, Worthen, Blackwell. The records of the previous meeting were read and accepted. lf. G.Potter Yx.Potter came in about a problem with lot 13, block 91, on Reed street. Between Orchard and Ash streets a paper street prevents reason- able use of lot 13. The Board is tentatively in favor of abandoning this unnamed street and town counsel will be contacted as to ways and means. Annual Report Mr.Cromwell read the preliminary draft for the Annual Town Re- port of the Planning Board. ning_ By-law Cha 19r.Blackwell presented an "Outline for Comparison of Lexington Zoning By-law." Lot coverage was suggested to be omitted. On combining lots to make less than 1W ft. frontage, this was felt to be a legal ques- tion. M?.Burns called attention to Y 5.52 and it will be changed. Keep- ing of one 2 -family zone was suggested. idr.Blackwell presented suggested forms for articles in the Warrant. Article on time for .Appeals was dis- cussed and held over. Street Widening Pdr.Ripley moved and Mr.lorthen seconded a motion to recommend to the Selectmen that Burlington street from Hancock street to North Street, North street from Burlington to Lowell street; School street from Massa- chusetts avenue to Mazrett road; Paul Revere road from Cedar street to Massachusetts avenue be newly laid out and that the extension at Williams road to Grove street be carefully considered as the best potential new bus route. So voted. Committer -or -North Lexinrton P Mgr.Packard and tvb% Garrity came in from the Recreation Committee for suggestions as to additional North Lexington playground area. The Johnson land to the north-west of Parker School was suggested. Schedule Continued informal meetings were suggested and the formal hearing will be March 9th.
