PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />I <br />APRIL 10, 1939. <br />A meeting of the Planning Board was held on Monday <br />evening, April 10th. <br />Mr. Eugene Viano presented a well formulated plan of a <br />48 apartment building of first class construction three stories <br />in height, which he proposes to build between Mass. Avenue <br />Viano <br />and Vine Brook Road, facing on Vine Brook Road. He wished <br />apartment <br />to obtain a zone change to C-1 district to permit the <br />plan. <br />structure. The Planning Board advised him to make applica- <br />tion through the regular channel for a hearing. in this regard. <br />Mrs. Mary Hatch, who owns property between Watertown <br />Street and the Concord Turnpike desires to divide her land <br />into house lots and submitted such a plot plan of subdivision. <br />Hatch <br />The Board felt that the plan should be further studied by <br />property <br />Mrs. Hatch and her engineer as it seems to have many weak- <br />nesses from a practical standpoint. <br />Mr. Kraetzer of our Board has advised us that his Mr. <br />resignation is imminent on account of continued poor health Kraetzerts <br />and recommended that the Board select his successor. resignation. <br />' Mr. Caouette, representing the Hallie C. Blake estate, <br />presented several proposed subdivisions of property owned <br />by this estate and one proposed change of a present sub- <br />division as followss <br />(1) Property known as the Castle and adjacent to Somerset <br />Road would be divided into lots all of which abide by <br />the 12,500 minimum lot size and 100 foot front. The <br />Board informally approves the layout except as affect- <br />ing six lots at the lower end of the plan which lots <br />are improperly drained. <br />(2) Property in Old Lexington Park adjoining property owned <br />in Bedford by the estate. The Lexington property is <br />90 feet deep by roughly 900.feet long. The Board <br />advises division into seven lots of almost exactly <br />12.9500 ft. area. <br />(3) Property adjoining the present residence of Mrs. Blake <br />which she proposes to divide so as to have a 120,000 <br />ft. bird sanctuary in the center with a ring of lots <br />around the edge. The Board approved informally except <br />that it recommended that five lots of approximately <br />11000 ft. each be changed to_4 lots of over 12,500 ft. <br />each. <br />' The next meeting will be Monday, April 24 at 7;45 P.M. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10;15 P.
