PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />May 92 1938 <br />Present:- Messrs. Greeley, Kimball, Ferguson and Nickerson. <br />Mr. Waugh presented a revised layout for development of <br />his property on Marrett Road, The motion was carried unani- <br />mously that Mr. Waugh be advised to submit his layout, if cer- Sub- <br />tain suggested changes lined on the drawing be used, to the division <br />Board of Survey, with advice to them that the layout would be <br />acceptable to us. The Planning Board agreed that the rear lot <br />toward the McIntosh property could not be drained satisfactorily <br />and should not be built upon. <br />A motion was carried unanimously to the effect that the <br />plan submitted by Messrs. Greeley and Kimball, covering Method Article <br />of Procedure, should be presented to the Board of Survey as the 211 <br />Planning Board's suggested Method and that furthermore the sub- <br />division requirements specified under Article 211 should be <br />appended to the Method of Procedure. <br />Mr. Greeley was requdsted to write to the Lexington Minute- <br />man, asking them to print a notice that the Attorney General <br />had failed to approve the recent article which the Town passed, <br />Increasing the area of minimum lot sizes, and stating that a Lot Area <br />new hearing will be called shortly for the purpose of prepar change <br />ing a new article for a subsequent Town Meeting; which article <br />shall present the matter to the Town in such fashion that the <br />Attorney General can pass it. This notice should be approved <br />by the Town Counsel. <br />A motion was carried unanimously that a sub -committee be <br />authorized to retain Mr. Steiner at a fee not to exceed Two <br />hundred ($200.00) Dollars for the equivalent of two months <br />continuous work between the dates of June 15 and October 15, Maps <br />1938, and that Messrs. Kimball and Greeley be authorized to lay <br />out. this work and have Mr. Steiner sign a contract. <br />Mr. Greeley reported that the Appropriations Committee <br />will appoint three members to collaborate with us in ascertain Vine <br />Ing the value of land .in the Vine Brook area, west of Massa- Brook <br />chusetts Avenue. <br />Mr. Greeley reported that the Assessor will provide us Colonial <br />with data showing the amount of land in the Colonial Heights Heights <br />Development which has been taken for tax title. <br />Next meeting, Tuesday, June 19th. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:45 P.
