1 <br />1 <br />1 <br />PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />March 29, 1937 <br />Present:— Messrs, Borden, Kraetzer, Nickerson and Kimball. <br />Plats covering the layout of the Lockwood Tower property Lockwood <br />Pollen Road were discussed with the Town Engineer, Tower <br />The proposed extension of Richard Road and the lotting as shown <br />on a map entitled "Proposed Development Easterly of Pollen Road" Develop-. <br />dated 1/11/32 was approved as presented and general layout on ment <br />the west side of Pollen Road sketched by Mr. Cosgrove was accepted <br />in principle subject to a final draft. <br />Projects for active consideration were reviewed and work <br />laid out as follows:- <br />Public <br />Messrs, Kraetzer, Ferguson and Nickerson will undertake <br />Bldgs, <br />a study of location for a new high school taking into considera- <br />& School <br />tion the possibility of a gymnasium from the J. W, Hayden Re- <br />Sites <br />creation Center Fund and such reports of the special committee <br />as may be of assistance. <br />In view of recent action toward purchasing the Dr. Barnes <br />property, it is felt advisable to study the present and future <br />needs for Town Offices with definite pians and recommendations. <br />This work is to be done in conjunction with the schoolhouse study. <br />Mr. Ellis will carry through the completion of the Town <br />Meeting Map, funds for which were approved at the last Town <br />map <br />Meeting. <br />Messrs. Borden and Kimball will make the necessary arrange- <br />By -Laws <br />ments and supervise reprinting the Zoning By -Law. <br />Mr. Borden will direct efforts toward stimulating attention <br />and action by citizens and organizations in increasing the mini- <br />Lot <br />man► lot areas and frontages as now covered in the Zoning By -Law, <br />Areas <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:00 P.
