PLANNING BOARD MEETING <br />February 2, 1937 <br />' Present:- Messrs. Borden, Ferguson, Nickerson & Kimball. <br />Mr. Black appeared before the Board to discuss a layout <br />for Board of Survey action, providing for an extension of <br />Slocum Road and a street connecting this extension and Bloomfield <br />Street Extension. Consideration was given to a tie-in with other <br />streets in this locality as well as surface drainage. Every- <br />thing considered it was felt that Slocum Road would naturally <br />be continued in a westerly direction and that there appeared Black <br />to be no need for a continuance of the proposed street to inter- Develop - <br />sect Winthrop Road. Engineer Cosgrove checked the advisability ment <br />of an easement for drainage as referred to in previous notes. <br />Mr. Black was advised to make application for Board of Survey <br />action including the necessary easement. <br />Mr. Cosgrove T esented a suggested layout of the Tower <br />property on the easterly side of Follen Road explaining that Tower <br />Mr. Coleman had brought this subject up. The Board discussed Property <br />the subject briefly and informally agreed to the lotting and <br />street provisions. Further study will be necessary before <br />formal action is taken. <br />A joint meeting was held with the Board of Selectmen <br />for the purpose of filling the vacancy on the Planning Board <br />caused by the resignation of Mr. John A. Sellars. Mr. Clark <br />proposed Nr. Eugene G. Kraetzer for the office, Mr. Borden Planning <br />seconded the nomination and Mr. Kraetzer was appointed by a Board <br />unanimous vote. Member <br />The Planning Board reconvened with Mr. Kraetzer present <br />and general discussion centered around Vine Brook areas. <br />The meeting adjourned at 10:15 P.
