PLANNING BOARD MEETING
May 131 1936
Present:- Messrs. Borden, Ferguson, Nickerson, Sellars and
Kimball.
A letter from Mr. B. T. Hartman, suggesting changes
in height regulations was discussed. It was decided to
defer action until the question of frontages and lot areas
were under consideration.
In view of the difficulties attendant in laying out
side protection to the Concord Turnpike, it was considered
advisable to suspend committee work on the Clarke Street -
Muzzey Street connection and concentrate on the Tuenpike.
To this end, Mr. Nickerson, Borden and Sellars will work
on the Lincoln end while Mr. Ferguson, Ellis and Kimball
will continue on the southerly end.
A plot layout involving Mr. Canessa's property in
East Lexington was received and it was voted: -
"That the Planning Board approve the plot embraced
by Blass. Avenue, Locust Avenue, Tower Street and Independence
Avenue, as laid out by Town Engineer Cosgrove, in a map
dated May 12, 1936.
An informal petition was received from Daniel J.
O'Connell to change the Zoning Law affecting the tract of
land bounded by Woburn Street, Fletcher Avenue and the Boston
and Maine Railroad Right of Way.
It was voted that the area affected by this change
is as follows, and the clerk was instructed to so notify
Mr. O'Connell, together with a statement that the Board
would arrange for the necessary hearing upon receipt of
the formal petition and customary $20.00 fee: -
Cottage Street,
Woburn Street to Manley Court,
Vine Street to land of Ahern & Pichette,
Hayes Lane to Jefferson Union Co.,
Fletcher Avenue to Jefferson Union Company,
Sherman Street,
Mass. Avenue between Slocum Road and Grant Street,
Hunt Road,
Winthrop Road from Mass. Avenue to Highland Avenue,
Wallis Court.
The meeting adjourned at 9:35 P. 11. subject to call.
Respectfully submitted,
Clerk
Canessa
Property
Danial J.
O'Connell
