Millican of i
Burlington Street for a new road from Burlington Street to Adams
Street showed that nothing could be done by the Board until a millican
comprehensive plan of the whole area was prepared, giving special
attention to the drainage, sewerage, and access of the area. The
Clerk was instructed to write the Board of Selectmen to that
effect.
The Clerk was instructed to communicate with Mrs. Cutler Cutler
in regard to her petition for a change in zoning along the new Petition
State Highway.
Mr. Duffy, in reporting the Regional Planning Board Meet -
Ingo said that Mossrw. tiles Smith of Belmont, Sumner Smith of
Lincoln, Herbert Dutcher of Arlington, and Reginald Morgan of
Concord had attended; that the work of the Westchester County
Park Commission had been cited and discussed; that concerted,
unified action was necessary on the part of all the Towns con-
cerned; that the Concord Planning Board had received and denied
several petitions for ,coning changes, in spite of the fact that
the Concord Board of"Se leotmen apparently favored some of the
changes.
Mr. Duffy suggested that the best procedure was to have
prepared it use and zoning map of the area affected by the high-
way, which map would show existing business uses and filling
stations within a mile of the highway, as well as appreciable
differences in elevation, such as cuts and fills of over 61.
He reported that the Engineer of the Metropolitan Planning Board
had been asked to prepare such a map,
Er. Glynn suggested that all business might be located on
loop spurs off the main highway.
Er. Duffy presented the idea of community marts in place
of many wayside stands.
Mr, Glynn raided the possibility of uniform architectural
style for all wayside stands.
It was shown that the work of the Regional Board should be
done as expeditiously as possible, in order to prepare the several
Planning Boards for the barrage of petitions that would soon be
presented.
Commients followed on the general layout of the highway,
especially as regarded the deep out between Waltham and Blossom
Streets.
Concord
